Wanlu Lake is the first big lake in South China, also known as Xinfengjiang Reservoir, is the largest ecological tourism attraction in South China, named because of the green seasons and green everywhere. It was formed in 1958 when the Xinfengjiang Hydropower Station was built in the Yapo Mountain Canyon, which is only 6 kilometers away from the lower reaches of Xinfeng River in Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, to build a dam to store water.
