Grigor Kurishenko (1903-1939), Ukrainian, former Soviet flight captain. In 1939, he was sent by the Soviet government to China to help fight Japan. On October 14, the same year, Kurishenko received a combat order, hit a Japanese military base, formations flying over Wuhan, was intercepted by Japanese military aircraft. Kurishenko after heavy fighting, downing 6 enemy aircraft. His plane was then hit hard, and the single plane rushed out of the siege, which was difficult to control due to the loss of balance. In order to protect the plane from damage, he landed smoothly on the water of the Yangtze River in Wanzhou. Kurishenko, due to long driving, overworked, no longer able to jump out of the cabin, for the Chinese people's war of resistance to Japan sacrificed his young life. Tribute to the hero!
