Xuanmiao Temple Review

At the beginning of the new year, my family and I came to the Xuanmiaoguan in Guanqian Street, Suzhou City. Because it was the coming of the festival, there were many tourists, bustling, many pilgrims, and the incense was very strong... The Xuanmiaoguan, which was founded in the Xijin period, was the largest Taoist view at that time. The existing mountain gate and the rebuilt main hall of the Sanqing Temple are 9 rooms wide, 6 deep, about 30 meters high, the building area is 1125 square meters, the heavy Xieshan, magnificent, is the largest existing Song Dynasty wooden structure in the south of the Yangtze River. There are a large number of ancient monuments in the dynasties, including the stone carvings of Laojun statues, one of the only two old statues in China. Xuanmiaoguan has been the religious and cultural center of Suzhou, and is now the main place for Taoism activities in Suzhou. Due to its excellent geographical location, numerous cultural relics and rich Taoist cultural connotation, Xuanmiaoguan has become one of the famous tourist attractions in Suzhou. Xuanmiaoguan has a history of more than 1700 years, because of its long history and grand scale, it is known as the "first ancient view of Jiangnan". It is now a key cultural relics protection unit in the country.

玄妙观坐落在苏州古城中心，其主殿三清殿建成于南宋年间，是苏州仅存的一座南宋木构殿宇式建筑，历史悠久、规模宏伟，在中国建筑史上具有重要的历史价值，1982年被列为全国重点文物保护单位。

热闹的观前街，上次去正好碰上下雨，匆匆走过都没发现这座玄妙观。外区免费，参观三清殿要收费，觉得没什么特别大的意思，外层看看就可以了。
