Yanjia Courtyard is divided into one into two courtyards, consisting of a yard of "three squares and one wall" and a yard of "four squares and five patios". The compound is built by multiple yards together, and the difference with the Beijing courtyard is that the Yanjia compound is quite exquisite for the fine carving, and the superb sculpture skills of the Bai folk can be seen everywhere; the difference with the Suzhou garden is that the Yanjia compound pays attention to the representative of the folk customs. Yanjia Courtyard not only looks well preserved from the whole, it reflects the wisdom and architectural talents of the Bai people. From the details, every sculpture, every connection, is so natural and vivid.
