燕誉堂为狮子林全园主厅，原是园主宴客所用。燕誉堂堂名出自《诗经·小雅·车舝》“式燕且誉，好而无射”，意为燕而娱乐、始终不已之意。此厅是苏州园林中较为有名的鸳鸯厅。梁上站三位神仙一位小童，有吉星高照的意思，雕塑惟妙惟肖。能够在此窥探出我们祖先建筑之精妙。
