At that time, Guangdong received five tax dollars from Chenghai every year, accounting for one-fifth of the total province. Yulinkou is the first of five. After the opening of Shantou Port, the iron boat replaced the wooden boat, and the ancient port of Yulin gradually became silent. On April 19, 2019, the Guangdong Provincial People's Government announced that the "Yulin Ancient Port" was the ninth batch of Guangdong cultural relics protection units.

It is quite lively during the Chinese New Year.
