My overall experience at the Potala Palace View Hotel (Potala Palace Branch) was extremely satisfying. The room directly faces the Potala Palace, offering a panoramic view where both the morning and night scenery have their unique charm. Just sitting by the window, you can quietly enjoy this breathtaking and peaceful sight. The hotel's rooftop restaurant also boasts a great location, allowing you to dine with views of the Potala Palace, creating a wonderful ambiance. The staff were warm, attentive, and thoughtful. Whether during check-in or dining, any requests were promptly addressed and resolved, making me feel completely at ease. The overall environment is comfortable, and the service is considerate. It's an excellent choice for anyone visiting Lhasa who wants a comfortable stay with convenient access to views. Highly recommended.

## Amenities The room came with a large humidifier that ran continuously, big enough for all-night use. The oxygen concentrator was quite noisy, but from what I've seen, this seems to be a common issue with similar high-end hotels in the area. We're not particularly sensitive to sleep environments, so we just treated it as white noise and managed to sleep fine. There was a faint mixed smell of smoke and moisture in the room, which I suspect might be related to the humidifier. I'd suggest the hotel further optimize equipment maintenance and ventilation. ## Cleanliness The overall cleanliness of the room was satisfactory, and the bedding was comfortable. The room had a bathtub, and a nightly soak was great for relieving fatigue from traveling at high altitudes; the hygiene was reassuring. Regarding the rooms, my personal feeling is that apart from the Potala Palace view rooms, all other rooms lack a view. Our room directly faced CITIC Bank. Luckily, we were out and about every day. If I were to spend a long time at the hotel, I'd definitely pay extra to upgrade to a view room. (They told us they upgraded our room type, but I don't think they did; I believe this was the room type I originally booked. My advice to everyone, no matter what room type you book, is to think about it in two ways: either you get a view of the Potala Palace or you don't. If the price difference is only a couple of hundred yuan, there's no real difference in the view for other rooms.) ## Environment The hotel's public areas are well-designed and have a great atmosphere. The thangka painting experience offered in-house was a rare cultural immersion and highly enjoyable. The bar, located on a high floor, offers expansive views and a clear shot of the Potala Palace, making it quite a scenic spot; however, there's a minimum spend requirement at the bar, so it's not suitable just for quick photos. The yak milk ice cream was excellent and worth trying. ## Service The security guards at the door were genuinely warm and very responsible. They'd always greet us enthusiastically when we left and returned. When we rented and returned our car, the driver stood by to help us inspect the exterior, which we really appreciated! The hotel offers butler-style service, and the staff were enthusiastic and helpful, assisting with booking tickets for the 'Princess Wencheng' show. The overall response was prompt. However, I personally would prefer if the hotel used a unified service account for communication. This would avoid concerns about staff being off-duty due to shifts and make guests feel more comfortable communicating. (A big thank you to my Trip.com customer service team; when I was out, I could only communicate via voice messages or calls, but the butler would always send messages or make voice calls, which I couldn't pick up. So, I ended up communicating directly with the Trip.com team.) ## Breakfast The breakfast buffet wasn't particularly varied and lacked local ******* specialties; the taste was average. The steamed ******* eggs from the à la carte menu are highly recommended. The yak yogurt had a more mainstream flavor, likely adjusted to cater to international guests' palates.

Facilities: Everything that should be there Hygienic: very clean Environment: The entrance is a beautiful small garden, there is a swing (unfortunately not photographed), the cafe can order tea in the stove (my favorite), and a polite Labrador (too late to see the cat), I can spend an afternoon in the small garden when I have time. Service: The proprietress and the boss are very good, and WeChat is added when you check in. If you have anything, you will respond quickly.

YYizepingguoThe location is excellent, right opposite the Tibet Museum, just a 5-minute walk away. Parking at the hotel is very convenient; during the off-season, you can park directly in front of the lobby without even going down to the underground garage. The front desk staff was very professional in helping us check in and thoughtfully reminded us to rest on our first day at high altitude. The room has a traditional and warm ******* decor. When visiting Tibet in the off-season (December), it's essential to stay in a warm hotel to alleviate the discomfort of high altitude. Even in Tibet, Shangri-La's breakfast maintains its usual high standard. Be sure to try the tsampa and homemade yogurt. We also happened to meet Kent, who is in charge of the restaurant, and he provided excellent service and recommended some itineraries for exploring Tibet.

GGuest UserChoosing the right hotel in Lhasa is so important! The Spring and Autumn Oxygen Hotel is definitely a top choice. The abundant oxygen totally kept altitude sickness at bay. The room was clean and tidy, well-equipped, and the heating was excellent. The service was attentive and responsive to all our needs. Plus, the breakfast was rich and plentiful. This hotel really elevated our entire trip experience. I genuinely recommend it! I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit!

GGuest UserWe're at the airport now, getting ready to leave, and I just wanted to express my sincere gratitude: This hotel truly exceeded our expectations and touched us deeply! After our first night, we immediately decided to extend our stay until our departure. We even found ourselves wishing we had chosen this place from the very beginning! I particularly want to commend the young lady at the front desk. Her voice was gentle, and she was incredibly thoughtful, always responding to our every need with such care. In fact, every single staff member at the hotel made us feel so welcome. One morning, we met a kind gentleman in traditional ******* clothing in the elevator who greeted us so warmly. His genuine smile brightened my entire day. And there was the driver who specially took us to dinner, and the bellhop who helped with our luggage… So many small, yet moving moments that truly earned our respect. As someone who also works in the service industry, I know how difficult it is to achieve such a high level of detail and warmth. Honestly, I can't help but want to applaud you all, and I'm inspired to learn from and reflect on your service. Regarding the hotel itself – from the inside out, it boasts a distinctive ******* architectural style, both exquisite and full of character, like a ******* cultural museum you can actually live in. The room amenities are also comprehensive, exuding a sense of luxury and meticulous attention to detail. Although this wasn't the best season to visit Tibet, and we missed out on seeing many beautiful sights, we certainly found the best hotel and the best service. Our group of five unanimously rated this experience as – “absolutely amazing!” We sincerely hope to have the opportunity to return to Tibet and this wonderful hotel again in the future, and to meet you all once more. Tashi Delek!

AAilvxingdexiaxiaojieWhen I first arrived in Lhasa, I stayed at Jicai, primarily because of its cleanliness and its proximity to the Potala Palace and Barkhor Street. My experience after checking in was excellent. After my trip to Nyingchi and Mêdog, I booked Jicai again. If you experience altitude sickness, the lobby provides an oxygen concentrator, and the rooms even have diffused oxygen supply. I had wanted to try breakfast in Lhasa, so on my last day, I bought the hotel's breakfast and discovered their noodles (fen) are really good. I regretted not booking a room with breakfast included. If you're still debating whether to book breakfast, my advice is to go for it if you like sour and spicy noodles, because their breakfast noodles are delicious. Delicious, delicious! Front desk service was good, and honestly, Jicai offers great value for money. Highly recommended.

BBubles~Service: The lady at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. We had booked a twin room, but she proactively upgraded us to a family suite! The room was spacious and decorated with unique ethnic characteristics. Facilities: The facilities are comprehensive, even including a medical oxygen concentrator! They also provide nasal cannulas. Everything you could possibly need is available. Environment: Excellent, and the soundproofing is good! There's also a Nepalese restaurant on the top floor of the hotel that many locals frequent, and hotel guests even get a discount! The hotel's location is also superb; it's only about a ten-minute walk to Jokhang Temple (at a leisurely pace, typical for Lhasa) and very close to the bus stop. There's also a delicious cold noodle shop right next to the hotel downstairs! I would definitely choose this hotel again if I come back to Lhasa!

GGuest UserWe stayed in Lhasa for quite a while, moving through three hotels. Overall, this hotel was excellent. The cleanliness and amenities were excellent. They provided Vaseline body lotion and toilet seats, which was very thoughtful. The breakfast was also very varied. The service was excellent, with complimentary fruit, Coke, and Wanglaoji. Two suggestions: the towels shed quite a bit, and the noise from the pool downstairs was quite loud at night. The front desk assistant, Cheng, was very patient in providing luggage storage.

YYunluanDuring the two days in Shanzeju, the peach blossoms bloomed more and more every day, and I felt the romance of winter🥰 The hotel environment is very beautiful, making us feel warm and comfortable during the journey. We arranged afternoon tea for us. For dinner, we can go to the ******* family to taste the farmhouse. The sweet tea is very delicious, with a strong milky aroma and not too sweet. Special praise goes to Mr. Wang and Azhen, who are very attentive and enthusiastic in every detail, and their service exceeds that of a five-star resort hotel🫶🏻🫶🏻🥰🥰 Travel to Nyingchi ”Milin”, come to Shanzeju to feel the charm here👍🏻👍🏻
