Ocean View Hotels in Fujian, China

First off, the hotel's location is fantastic. It's right next to Zhongshan Road and within walking distance to Bashi Market, making it super lively at night with tons of food options. Secondly, getting around is a breeze. There's a bus stop right outside, making public transport very convenient. Plus, there's a ferry terminal directly across the street. If you're coming back from Gulangyu, you can take a bus from Sanqiuming Pier to this ferry terminal, cross the road, and you're pretty much at the hotel – no need for a taxi or another bus! Finally, the security is top-notch. You need to swipe your card twice to enter: once to take the elevator to your floor to find your room, and then again to get into your room. This is the first hotel I've stayed at with this kind of system, and it really made me feel safe and secure!

Highly recommend the Niaodao Seaview Chaosu! The location is superb, right next to Zhongshan Road and the ferry terminal, within walking distance to major attractions, making it super convenient to get to Gulangyu Island. We booked a sea-view room and the view was absolutely breathtaking, with 180° floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing Gulangyu Island, offering stunning sunrise and sunset views. The room was clean and tidy, well-equipped with smart controls, a smart toilet, a Dyson hairdryer, and more, all with a great sense of design. The owner and staff were warm, friendly, and provided thoughtful service, including free laundry and luggage storage. The overall experience was perfect, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Xiamen!

We had a lovely stay, the room’s view was great, bed very comfortable, nice cotton good quality lienen, flexible room service time, water/towels etc always topped up/ refilled. Free luggage storage possible. All really smooth and pleasant. Keep in mind that if you choose smart room- need to say the commands to open the curtains in Chinese. I speak some Chinese and it made the check-in and stay easier, however the person who showed us the room wasn’t very friendly.

Facilities: The apartment is well-equipped, and the bathroom has a separate wet and dry area. Cleanliness: The room was clean and hygienic, with no strange odors. Environment: The apartment is very close to the airport, just a few minutes' drive away. Taxis are also very convenient, and there's a shopping mall nearby, so food and drinks are easily accessible. Service: The service was excellent, and the airport pick-up service was great; just contact the owner in advance. They also responded promptly to any issues. The room was very spacious and offered great value for money.

This was our second stay, and my child specifically requested to come back – it was a fantastic experience! **Facilities:** The hotel has multiple pools, which kept my child entertained for hours. **Cleanliness:** Excellent. The ground-floor rooms with direct pool access had absolutely no mosquitoes or insects. **Environment:** The resort grounds are huge. We received complimentary botanical garden tickets upon check-in, but my child only wanted to swim, so we didn't get to explore it properly during either of our two stays. **Service:** The staff are incredibly proactive and enthusiastic, regardless of whether they are in a monitored area. You can clearly tell the management is very effective. The lifeguard at the pool area proactively asked my child if they needed a towel, the bellhop kindly helped with directions, and the best was the concierge! For our second stay, there were no kids' rooms available, but we had requested a room close to the pool. They upgraded us directly to a room with immediate pool access. **Daily Water Park Fun:** There weren't any events during the weekdays, so next time we'll bring the kids on a weekend to enjoy it more. **Location:** Right outside the hotel is Huangcuo Beach, and there are many trendy cafes nearby that are perfect for photos. **Suggestion:** In the men's indoor pool area, there isn't a swimsuit spinner. My husband was too tired after playing and went to clean up, only to find the men's changing room didn't have one. However, the female attendant was a huge help; she immediately went to the ladies' area to dry his swimsuit for him without a second thought!

I was looking forward to this hotel after seeing the pictures and reviews on trip.com, but it left a lot to be desired. -They don’t provide large towels by default. I assumed they forgot my towels, then when I asked they brought me a set but showed me the disposable ones that were sitting in the room. I couldn’t believe they offer the tiniest, thinnest packets and think that’s an acceptable replacement for normal towels. At this price point, that shouldn’t be a reality anywhere in the world— after countless dozens of hotels I’ve stayed at in China that’s the first time I’ve witnessed such a thing. -They leave the toilet scrubber in the bathroom too, which I also never saw after countless hotels in China; clearly that’s an antiquated practice and doesn’t inspire confidence in the cleanliness of a room. Cleaning tools like that shouldn’t be stored in the guest rooms. -The city view was okay but the window was filthy -The room is no-smoking but they leave an ash tray My booked room says the 20th floor— when I arrived, I lugged my heavy bags to the 20th floor, but they immediately redirected me; we went back down, exited the building to another one nearby, then they checked me into an old room on a 10th floor. I didn’t understand why they did this (that room reeked of smoke too), then we packed everything up and went right back to the original building, to the 20th floor like I booked. Clearly that could have been avoided if they communicated to me the reason for the switch (they said afterwards they were upgrading me to a bigger room? But it was nearly the same size and the 10th floor one was just older, smellier and clearly a downgrade. Odd decision on their part). I’m not sure if this hotel does the delivery robot like most others, I doubt it. Luckily I came to town a day early, so the extra day I booked allowed me to see the condition of the hotel and I was able to cancel the rest of the stay I had booked— but for a fee of over 500rmb. The vast majority of Chinese hotels on this site offer free cancellations but this one was costly. I switched immediately to a brand hotel to be safe— there are countless other options in Xiamen at similar prices, I’d have to recommend looking elsewhere.

Honestly, during the off-season, for a room type like this at just over 150 (CNY), staying on the 60th floor is incredibly good value for money. The room itself is quite spacious. I actually booked this place after reading a review, and honestly, I think it's perfectly fine. I dislike situations where customers are clearly in the wrong or leave bad reviews unfairly, and then the boss blames and scolds the staff. I don't like that. So, sometimes when guests are being unreasonable or trying to take advantage, whether it's a staff member or the owner responding, I think it's perfectly acceptable. A spade is a spade.

I accidentally booked this homestay, but it was a very pleasant surprise! This time, the group built 15 people, basically wrapped the whole homestay, colleagues are very satisfied with this homestay, first, the environment is very good, clean and comfortable, there is no noisy sound, second, the decoration style of the homestay and the bedding in the room, the toiletries are very high-end, Every time I stay in a hotel, I have high requirements for these details. Although this homestay may not be as good as the net red store, I think it is really recommended for everyone to experience it. It is cost-effective, the environment is good, and the breakfast in the morning is made by the boss himself. The noodles paste is the best I drink. Don't brag! I also stayed at the homestay for the first time, writing my real feelings, next time I plan to go to Xiapu in June, I have already told the boss that I will stay again!

Since I didn't plan ahead, I booked a random chain hotel in Xiamen. Even for one person, it felt incredibly small, so I promptly switched the next day. I stumbled upon the Hotel Indigo Xiamen Harbour, quickly booked it, and found that the online reviews were absolutely true – the service was exceptional! The front desk staff were super welcoming. Seeing that I was traveling alone, they even upgraded me to a quiet city-view room. The room was incredibly spacious, and what's even better, it was almost the same price as that other well-known chain hotel! I'm kicking myself for not choosing Hotel Indigo Xiamen Harbour the first night! The breakfast was also fantastic, and the staff even helped me with my takeout orders! All in all, this hotel has become one of my favorite memories from this trip to Xiamen. I've already decided to bring my parents here for Chinese New Year and stay at Hotel Indigo Xiamen Harbour again! A big thank you to all the staff at Hotel Indigo! See you next time!

This hotel is luxurious and elegant with excellent service. It faces Gulangyu Island, and the subway station is very close to the hotel's garage exit. Turning right from the hotel's entrance, it's about a 5-minute walk to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street. The rooms are spacious and clean. Overall, a great experience.
