"Honestly, during the off-season, for a room type like this at just over 150 (CNY), staying on the 60th floor is incredibly good value for money. The room itself is quite spacious. I actually booked this place after reading a review, and honestly, I think it's perfectly fine. I dislike situations where customers are clearly in the wrong or leave bad reviews unfairly, and then the boss blames and scolds the staff. I don't like that. So, sometimes when guests are being unreasonable or trying to take advantage, whether it's a staff member or the owner responding, I think it's perfectly acceptable. A spade is a spade."

"The Lujiang Hotel boasts an excellent location, being very close to the pedestrian street and the 'Eight Markets' (Ba Shi). The hotel's exterior has a unique design, and while its interior is luxurious, it also retains a sense of historical charm. From the room's balcony, you get a fantastic view of Gulangyu Island. The bedding is comfortable, and the toiletries and hairdryer are of good quality. The room layout is well-designed and functional, with comprehensive facilities.
The hotel's breakfast is highly recommended. It features a combination of made-to-order dishes via QR code and a buffet. Although the variety might not seem vast, every single dish is exquisite, offering authentic Xiamen flavors and exceptional taste. We even received complimentary pigeon soup delivered to our room in the evening.
Next time I visit, I will definitely choose Lujiang Hotel for my entire stay and highly recommend it to friends and family. It truly offers great value for money.
Just a small suggestion:
The in-room dining dishes are really delicious. It would be helpful if the menu was placed in a more visible spot, perhaps on the bar counter, rather than in a drawer. For those traveling with children who prefer not to go out for dinner, clean and reliable in-room dining is a top choice, but the menu can easily be missed if it's tucked away."

"The male receptionist is super friendly and helpful. He reminded us on all the possible traps to be avoided while traveling in xiamen. Throughout our 3 nights stays, he provided lots of guidance to us on how to place booking for boat ticket and entry tickets for tourists attraction. He is helpful in arranging house keeping and replenish the supplies in our room. The room sizeable with nice seaview. Just take note that the hotel only occupying certain floors in a building without clear signboard outside the building, took us some time to ask around and find the hotel location"

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would happily stay here again.
The location is excellent. It's right next to the metro, directly across the road from China City Mall, and within easy walking distance of Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, the waterfront and the ferry wharf. It made exploring Xiamen incredibly easy.
The staff were consistently helpful and efficient. They obtained information about the Xiamen-Kinmen ferry, which was greatly appreciated. The breakfast restaurant staff deserve special mention as they were always friendly, welcoming and genuinely seemed pleased to see their guests each morning.
The room itself was lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was excellent and while I didn't use the bath, the shower was very good. The hotel also has a nice swimming pool, gym and lounge area, all of which added to the overall experience.
Breakfast was good, with plenty of choices, both Asian and Western, and a pleasant atmosphere.
I only intended to stay a short time, but enjoyed both the hotel and Xiamen enough that I extended my stay by an extra night. From my room I had good views, including Zheng Chenggong's statue on Gulangyu Island and Xiamen's Twin Towers in the distance.
This hotel certainly helped make my stay in Xiamen an enjoyable one. I left with very positive memories and would gladly stay here again.

It’s an immersive experience, making you feel like you own the entire seaview of Xiamen – truly romantic and rejuvenating.

GGuest UserThis trip to Xiamen, I chose the Chunguang Hotel on Zhongshan Road, and it was a true hidden gem! The front desk lady was incredibly thoughtful; not only did she help us plan our Gulangyu itinerary, but she also reminded us to buy ferry tickets during off-peak hours to avoid the crowds. Those little details really added to the experience! The location is absolutely unbeatable—turn left out of the hotel and you're right on Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, with famous old eateries like Huang Zehe Peanut Soup and 1980 Shaorou Zong (roasted pork dumplings) just a stone's throw away. Turn right, and in 5 minutes you're at the Eighth Market (Bashi), and I'm still dreaming about the golden crispiness of Ah Jie Wuxiang (five-spice fritters). The biggest surprise was that the hotel faces the Gulangyu ferry terminal directly. Strolling at night, watching the lights across the water, I instantly 'got' the romance of old Xiamen.

The floor-to-ceiling windows in our room offered breathtaking, expansive views of Gulangyu Island, perfect for catching both sunrise and sunset. We enjoyed the clear blue sea by day and the twinkling lights by night. The staff were incredibly attentive and warm throughout our stay, providing meticulous service. They even extended our check-out time so we wouldn't have to rush for our train, which was a thoughtful touch. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel's location made getting around a breeze. With amazing views and heartwarming, personalized service, it's convenient for all your travel needs. We'll definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Xiamen! A big thank you to the front desk lady, to the cleaning staff for their late-night service, and to the welcoming and departing gentleman!

GGuest UserFive out of five stars, I highly recommend Gulangyu Bayview Hotel! The location is absolutely perfect – it's just a few minutes' walk along the coast from the Sanchietian Pier, so you don't have to drag your luggage up hills. Plus, the hotel staff meet you upon arrival, which saves a lot of effort and worry. Just a few steps outside, and you're on Longtou Road Snack Street, making exploring and eating incredibly convenient. It’s lively yet quiet, and not noisy at all.
The century-old banyan tree in front of the hotel stands as a witness to the passage of time.
The room was clean, dry, and free of dampness. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the smart toilet was a nice touch. The bedding was soft, ensuring a very restful sleep.
The front desk service was gentle and attentive. They patiently recommended lesser-known spots and authentic local snacks on the island. Luggage storage and travel guidance were all perfectly arranged.
This trip to Gulangyu was exceptionally comfortable. The sea view, environment, service, and location were all top-notch. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time, and I strongly recommend it to any friends visiting Gulangyu to stay for a few nights!

GGuest UserAs an IHG member, I chose the InterContinental Xiamen Seaview for a trip to Xiamen with my parents to celebrate my mother's birthday. I communicated my needs via email before arrival, and the hotel upgraded us to a high-floor sea view room upon check-in, offering superb views, including a glimpse of the Mazu statue. The beach is just a ten-minute walk away, and getting around by taxi is very convenient. The room included a complimentary first round of mini-bar items and welcome fruit. The pool and sauna experience were excellent.
When a minor issue arose with the room equipment, the hotel promptly responded by upgrading us to an adjacent room, and the resolution was very satisfactory. Special thanks to our butler, Vivian, who was incredibly responsive and helpful with all matters throughout our stay, solving many of our problems with exceptional dedication. The breakfast selection was extensive, and they even provided an extra breakfast for our party of three. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Xiamen.

AAnonymous UserTraveling with my child, I found the lobby grand and the room clean and hygienic. The disposable slippers and toiletries were great, and they even provided children's lotion, which was a thoughtful touch. The kids' club was also quite clean; although not very large, it was perfect for an hour of fun to let the kids burn off some energy.
What impressed me most was the Le Wei restaurant. The buffet allows one child under 120cm to dine for free, which is very practical and considerate.
The hotel is right next to the Rainbow Boardwalk and the beach, and the beachfront restaurant even has live music, creating a wonderful atmosphere.
Overall, it's an excellent family-friendly hotel. My child had a fantastic experience and said they want to come back again.

Xxxx1012The Hualuxe Xiamen Haicang Seaview truly exceeded my expectations! The egret-shaped architecture is incredibly photogenic, and the front-row sea view is absolutely stunning. I booked a sea-view room, which starts at a spacious 45 sqm, featuring 270° floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the ocean, Haicang Bridge, and Gulangyu Island. I could watch the sunset from the comfort of my bed. The room boasts an elegant new-Chinese design, complete with a round viewing bathtub and high-quality amenities. Thoughtful touches like a tea set and welcome fruit were provided, and turndown service included local Minnan snacks – the attention to detail was exceptional.
Cathy provided warm and attentive service, making the check-in process efficient, and the concierge proactively helped with my luggage. The heated pool on the fourth floor and the 24-hour sea-view gym offer fantastic views. Breakfast was extensive, with a wide variety of local snacks, seafood, and noodle stations. It's a peaceful and healing retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the island, perfect for a vacation or family trip. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Xiamen!

GGuobao^_^Overall, it was pretty good. The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around. The pier is about 500 meters from the entrance, and it's just a fifteen-minute boat ride to Xiamen No. 1 Pier, making it easy to go anywhere. A concierge even proactively helped us with directions to the pier; he was really enthusiastic 👍. The ferry ticket to Gulangyu Island was only 35 RMB, and the hotel breakfast was decent too.
Regarding the upgrade to a deluxe sea-view room (subject to availability on the day): I booked a superior sea-view room, and the front desk upgraded us to a deluxe sea-view family room.
For the mini-bar, you need to proactively contact the front desk for refills.
Also, for the cute little souvenir doll included in the package, you need to ask the front desk for it.
