Hotel Restaurant Van der Valk Nivelles-Sud

great hotel with great gym, pool and spa facilities, all the staff are very polite and professional, the hotel is kept very clean. the hotel is very busy at all times so i would recommend booking a table if you intend to eat there, it is especially busy on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday when they have an excellent buffet for 40 euros each, lots of children attend the Friday one, and stay over with families, but all three nights are busy. also lots of conference's held at hotel, car park is another thing that fills every night, even the overflow one. shows how good a hotel this is.

Lovely location , secluded from the city and a perfect getaway from reality to get in touch with who you are. The Cinq Mondes Spa provides some elevating body massages and then hiking through the Sonian Forest in the morning was absolutely amazing and breathtaking

We arrived in to the hotel quite late as our late flights from Dublin had been delayed twice , so it was after midnight and two tired children and family’s went to check in , Tom the receptionist mixed up the rooms and the credit card didn’t work as my number was in my phone which was dead , I just said let us in and I’ll charge phone and come back down which I did , I found this could have been avoided if everything had of been ready for us , I paid for an upgrade which was €20 a night extra well worth it as we were now facing the quiet garden courtyard are very nice as was our room two . This is a very modern hotel relatively new hotel , we went aloud to let the children touch the expansive plane in the foyer as Tom said it was 2k , lovely indeed but try telling our 4 year old not to touch this big toy . Restaurant in hotel is brilliant, food , service and breakfast was brilliant too although scrambled eggs need to be cooked a little more . Altogether I recommend this hotel and a little French should be learnt before your visit . I did feel in general that the hotel seemed to cater more for dogs than they did for children of the quests but that’s my opinion.

Ibis Wavre Brussels East

This hotel was booked as part of the Belgium grand Prix package through ledger. Upon arrival we were very disappointed to find no hot food available after a very long trip, especially as we had read there was lasagne, pasta's,hot dogs and pizzas available but we were told on the Friday that pizzas would be available on the Saturday night. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable but again we were very disappointed as there was no tea/coffee facilities, not even a kettle. Only 4 hangers in the room and no drawers,we managed for a weekend but for a longer stay it would be unsuitable. Breakfast was adequate although there was only 1 4slice toaster on site and the queues were awful. That said the ladies filling up the food were very polite and sociable unlike the 2 bar men over the 2 nights, especially Sunday the 1 working then was very rude. Also looking at a review left from somebody who was obviously staying the same time as ourselves,it was stated that a beer was 7euro,so I am now wondering why I was charged 20euro for 2 beers and a lemonade 🤔. Unless you have a car you will need to eat out for your evening meal as it really is very poor at the hotel with only pizza hut within walking distance.
Martin's Château du Lac

Stayed in this hotel with my husband as part of a Leger Tour for 4 nights. Do not be fooled by the lovely pictures you see of this Chateau. Had to take our own bags to our room which involved dragging them up some steps (no lift to first floor) and then down a long corridor. The room was dark and no view from the tiny window so paid extra to change it for a lake view room which had a restricted view of the lake, slightly bigger than the first room, poorly stocked mini bar, lumpy bed, shaver socket not working - but it was better than the first room. Very limited on lifts in this hotel and lots of steps, only 2 outside areas to sit - one to the side of the restaurant and a center courtyard which was very untidy and uncomfortable. Service is practically non existent especially in the bar we didn't eat in the restaurant as we were told it was fully booked although it looked empty to us, think it was more a lack of staff then fully booked. Breakfast was ok but not 5 Star in fact nothing about this hotel is 5 Star quality except the prices. On the first night we were sitting in the courtyard and spotted a rat scuttling down the drain, we didn't thing much of it bearing in mind the location of this hotel but the next morning on our way down to breakfast we saw 2 more rats running down the corridor which is not what you expect to see in any hotel, although we didn't see anymore rats inside the hotel we did see more in the courtyard during our stay. The staff were pleasant enough but not overly helpful. All in all this is not a relaxing place to stay and would not recommend it and a long way off 5 Star quality.

Lovely grands on arrival and plenty of parking. Disabled bay outside of hotel. Warm welcome on arrival. Bar and restaurant lovely and inviting. Room size very good with seat and baggage space. Bath / shower which seems dated today but perfectly fine. Restaurant and bar lovely, reasonably priced and good selection and welcoming. Ideal location for the Tintin museum !

A nice enough room with a bath/shower, and tea-making facilities but No milk.Lovely view over the car park as it is situated in an Industrial estate. The restaurant was a bit expensive, but the breakfast was normal cereals, a small selection of hot food, and pastries, but the staff seemed rushed as there was only two staff on. A MIXED OPINION on our return our inbound journey, we had a ground floor room, again a twin room but no cabinet so that we could slide the beds together, and it also had a radiator in the room so it was not as cold as before which was 10 degrees

We loved · This is a quiet and nice place in the centre of Gistoux. L'hôte propose un livret avec de nombreuses promenades ou randonnées cyclistes à réaliser à proximité. N'avez pas aimé · 😡L'obligation de payer en liquide alors que *********** déclare que l'établissement débitera le montant avant le séjour. 🪜The access to the rooms may prove difficult for people with reduced mobility. 🏖The host being on holiday was replaced by his son who was very helpful but: ▶️The host was impersonal by SMS. ▶️The door handset was detached and forced us to go out through the garden. ▶️The Wifi was just changed and the code reported in the room and the code on the door were obsolete, so no Wifi... the first night.
