Hotels With Spa in Shanxi, China

Our group of four went to the Shanxi First Hot Spring Hotel, thinking it would be conveniently located within the Wang Family Courtyard. We ended up loving it! The hotel environment was superb! 👍🏻 Getting up early to climb the city wall and see the swirling mist was like stepping into a fairyland. The air was fresh, the hot spring water smooth, and the night view even more beautiful! Dinner was delicious, and breakfast was plentiful! Everyone is planning to come back! The manager, Xiao Wang, and my husband hit it off immediately, and he even gave us souvenir coins!

We spent out last night of our trip at Kempinski Taiyuan, and it did not disappoint. The receptionist upgraded up to a room on a high floor with a view of the city. They also gave us fresh fruits and free minibar. They had everything you would expect of a five star hotel, and the location is in a bustling part of the city. Would definitely come back.

Jianguo Hotel is an older establishment with somewhat outdated facilities and small rooms, though it's clean. I have to talk about the breakfast – it's incredibly varied! There are several made-to-order dishes like lamb powder, pancakes, and knife-cut noodles, plus various local snacks. They even have 6-7 types of bread and 7-8 kinds of fruit. I've stayed in at least 70-80 hotels, and their breakfast is definitely the best. Also, guests at Jianguo Hotel can enjoy a sauna every evening, and the service at the recreation department is top-notch. I stayed for two days and went to the sauna both nights. The staff even placed a cup and a toothbrush with toothpaste squeezed on it right in front of me – the service is thoughtful and the attitude is kind. When I left, they even put the used wet towel in a bag for guests to take away. Next time I come to Datong, I will definitely stay at Yungang Jianguo Hotel again. However, there are still some areas for improvement; the floor in the room had some stains and wasn't cleaned thoroughly enough.

I came to Linfen on a self-driving tour. When I was screening hotels online, I saw that this was a newly opened hotel, so I placed an order! I am really satisfied with the decoration style I like. The front office manager, Guo Tongtong, is very considerate and professional. She answers all my questions. The room is super clean and has green plants. Breakfast was good too. The laundry room is also nice, the washing machine tubs are very clean. Jiudian is particularly attentive and even prepared disinfectant laundry detergent, which is a great partner for me when doing laundry. In addition, the hotel's location has a great view. You can see the Fen River here. It's a thumbs up! Highly recommended!

Hygiene: Excellent. All towels, bath towels, and bathrobes come in sealed bags, which made me feel very secure using them. Facilities: Excellent. Although it's an older hotel, the showerheads show their age but are very well-maintained and work perfectly. Environment: The location is great. The room card gives access to a small gate leading to Yingze Lake Park. It's a nice two to three-kilometer loop for a leisurely stroll. Service: Excellent. They offered complimentary welcome fruits, and you just scan a QR code to request more amenities. There's also a delivery robot that brings food right to your door, all very convenient. Suggestion: I hope they can switch from instant Nestlé coffee to pour-over coffee bags. Instant coffee feels too low-end and doesn't match the hotel's overall quality.

Honestly, the Superior Twin Room is perfectly fine. The Deluxe rooms are just bigger than the Superior ones, but there's no other difference, and the extra space isn't really utilized. The hotel staff provided excellent service, the rooms were very clean, and the food was delicious (the braised pork, stir-fried pork slices, siu mai, and sweet and sour meatballs were all outstanding). I especially liked the buckwheat pillows in each room; they're perfect for someone like me who can't sleep on high pillows. The front desk gave everyone a beautiful souvenir map. Even when retrieving our bags, the bellhop quickly came over and hurried to assist, which shows that the Garden Hotel treats its employees well, as their professionalism and enthusiasm for service are exceptional. There are several popular internet-famous restaurants around the hotel. You can go down to get a number during meal times, then come back to the hotel and relax, and head back down when your number is called an hour or two later. No need to wait outside the hotel in the cold. I have to recommend a hidden gem: a fried skewer shop near the hotel. It's incredibly tasty, even the coating on the quail eggs is crispy. The spa area is a bit small, with only two scrubbing stations and five showers, but the scrubbing service, massage service, and other assisted bathing services are all excellent and reasonably priced. The staff scrub very diligently. My family member said that the guy ahead of him, after asking about the prices, immediately declared he wanted every service! 😂😂😂 I feel like if I come back in the future, I'll still choose the Garden Hotel.

This time I chose Jinhe Health Hotel because it is a high-scoring hotel on the Internet. I feel very satisfied, especially when we went up to the floor, there were enthusiastic service staff to greet us at nearly one o'clock in the evening. After entering the room, the room was very clean, and snacks and fruits were delivered. Especially the service of the staff was very heartwarming. Supervisor Ji and Wang Haixia are really two very good employees of Jinhe. At 8 o'clock the next morning, the staff called to remind me to have breakfast and told me which floor the restaurant was on. I happened to meet the service staff in the corridor and asked me. I found out that the call was from Wang Haixia, the service staff who delivered snacks last night. She was really good and very touching. The two excellent employees made me feel full of happiness. Next time I come to Datong, I will choose Jinhe Health Hotel again.

The environment is very good. It is really beautiful to go in this season. The space capsule is not bad to live in. The air is also very good. The space capsule is smart home. The hotel is in a great location. There are lots of local restaurants downstairs, and there's also the Wanda Mall. I chose this hotel because I stayed there when it first opened. The front desk staff was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. I even got an upgrade. However, the room was much less clean this time. There was hair all over the bathroom bar, and the large shower head didn't work. This is something a five-star hotel shouldn't have. I hope you'll pay attention to this.

The service provided by Xiao Yang at the front desk was very good, I liked it very much, the room facilities were complete and the environment was very good 👌 I will choose InterContinental Hotel again when I come back from Mount Wutai next time.
