This is an old-school five-star hotel with a great location, making it super convenient to get to the Ancient City. There's a really helpful guy at the lobby who was amazing; he answered all our questions and even booked a shuttle for us to Yungang Grottoes, which was fantastic. The stay also included complimentary bathhouse tickets, but unfortunately, we didn't have time to use them. However, we did get to enjoy authentic local dishes at the hotel restaurant, which was great. Coincidentally, we even ran into friends at the hotel restaurant on our last day – what a small world! It really shows how popular this place is. Datong is definitely worth revisiting.

Unfortunately, the overall stay was not great. When we booked the hotel, we specifically requested a non-smoking room, which is essential for us because of health issues. After double confirming with the hotel that they have non-smoking rooms (based on the website, all rooms are non smoking), we paid for our booking. However, shortly after, they informed us that smoking in hotel rooms is common and unavoidable in Taiyuan. We felt deceived into making the payment and realized we were stuck with this accommodation for our 7-day stay. Upon checking in, we had to request a room change due to a strong smoke smell in the original room. The second room was better and the hotel staff was nice enough to provide an air purifier. Throughout our entire stay, people were smoking in the elevator, lobby, and even at the dinner table. If we had known this beforehand, we would have reconsidered staying here. For a 5-star hotel, it did not meet our expectations, and unfortunately, we paid far too much for this experience. The only highlight of our stay was the hotel staff. They were always friendly, helpful, and did their very best to serve the guests, which made our trip a bit more enjoyable. We thank them for their excellent service.

Being an older hotel, the facilities are understandably a bit dated. However, its location is absolutely fantastic, very close to the attractions, and the service was excellent. We stayed in a top-floor room with a small balcony, offering stunning views of the ancient city's nightscape and the Daiwangfu drone show right from our window. The hotel restaurant comes highly recommended for its food. We did have to queue, but the wait was quicker than we'd anticipated. While the taste wasn't quite as 'astounding' as some online reviews suggested, it was arguably the best non-local meal I've had in Shanxi these past few days – a truly welcome break from dishes like Guo You Rou.

Very new and very clean. I was a little disappointed in the ancient city this season. There were few people in the off-season and the commercial atmosphere was strong. But fortunately, the hotel surprised me, and there was a pick-up station service. The female manager at the front desk was also very literate. I personally picked up and picked up. Happy! Forgot to take pictures, but the hotel really recommends it!

Environment: The hotel is located near Baima Temple Mountain, offering a beautiful, elegant, comfortable, and peaceful setting. Facilities: The hotel opened in May and is fully equipped. The in-room hot spring pool is very comfortable, with ample water flow, fast Wi-Fi, and a wide selection of complimentary drinks in the mini bar. Breakfast is also quite varied. Cleanliness: The hotel is very clean, and the hot spring center is also spotless! Service: The entire hotel staff is friendly and helpful, and the service is excellent, both in the guest rooms and in the restaurant. The front desk staff is very welcoming and will personally explain the hotel facilities and escort them to your room. They also give a small gift upon check-out. My whole family is very satisfied with this hotel and will stay again! Fengyang Yitang Hot Spring 4-Hour Ticket (Includes a meal of your choice and unlimited fruit and drinks): The hot springs aren't large, but they are clean and provide ample leisure and entertainment. Food and drinks upstairs are all free.

Hygiene: Excellent. All towels, bath towels, and bathrobes come in sealed bags, which made me feel very secure using them. Facilities: Excellent. Although it's an older hotel, the showerheads show their age but are very well-maintained and work perfectly. Environment: The location is great. The room card gives access to a small gate leading to Yingze Lake Park. It's a nice two to three-kilometer loop for a leisurely stroll. Service: Excellent. They offered complimentary welcome fruits, and you just scan a QR code to request more amenities. There's also a delivery robot that brings food right to your door, all very convenient. Suggestion: I hope they can switch from instant Nestlé coffee to pour-over coffee bags. Instant coffee feels too low-end and doesn't match the hotel's overall quality.

Located in Baima Temple Park, the hotel is a modern garden-style hotel with a grand scale, beautiful scenery, first-class facilities, modern swimming pool and hot spring facilities, suitable for family vacations. Management and service are also first-class, landscaping, environmental cleaning, floor management service staff are fully equipped, and warm and generous.

Later I discovered that I was the Nian beast. I came during the Chinese New Year and left after herding the sheep and setting off firecrackers. As soon as the charger was unplugged, it was goodbye again tomorrow. I really miss my childhood. I could just play with a ball all afternoon, or I could Rush to the New Year greeting line, go to the front and ask for sweets. Growing up may be hiding tears in your eyes. You may not have a Happy New Year, but you must have a good New Year! I came to Linfen on a self-driving tour. When I was screening hotels online, I saw that this was a newly opened hotel, so I placed an order! I am really satisfied with the decoration style I like. The front office manager, Guo Tongtong, is very considerate and professional. She answers all my questions. The room is super clean and has green plants. Breakfast was good too. The laundry room is also nice, the washing machine tubs are very clean. Jiudian is particularly attentive and even prepared disinfectant laundry detergent, which is a great partner for me when doing laundry. In addition, the hotel's location has a great view. You can see the Fen River here. It's a thumbs up! Highly recommended!

During our trip from Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, through Ordos and Datong, to Taiyuan, we stayed at five hotels in total, and the Marriott was by far our favorite. Upon arrival, a hotel executive personally greeted us and gave the children lollipops, which absolutely delighted them. The hotel is quite new, with excellent facilities, and the breakfast was incredibly delicious. We booked a family room which was large and beautiful, much to the children's delight. We only stayed two nights as our main reason for being in Taiyuan was simply to catch a flight home. When checking out, the kids were begging to stay longer, not wanting to go home. Even I was reluctant to leave – it was truly that comfortable. The entire staff, from service personnel to management, were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was also excellent, and the location is fantastic. In fact, this hotel alone has made us consider returning to Taiyuan multiple times! 😁
