GGuest UserDon't expect anything from the local Five Star News. The hotel's facilities and decoration are similar to those of ordinary hotels. When checking in, the floor is not air-conditioned and it is very stuffy. The check-in process is also a long time and it feels that the management is chaotic. The breakfast is hardly delicious. The only thing that is commendable is that the high-rise view is very good, overlooking the city, after all, it is almost the tallest building in Mandalay.

LLiyuyuqinghuaiMy stay at this hotel was truly wonderful! The environment is outstanding, right by the river, and I could enjoy the river view from my window. The lobby also looked spacious and comfortable. The room was exceptionally clean; there wasn't a speck of dirt on the table corners or in the bathroom. All the facilities worked perfectly, the hot water was plentiful, and the bed was very comfortable. A special thanks to the staff, who were incredibly enthusiastic and patiently answered all my questions. Their service was very heartwarming, making my stay very pleasant.

While the service and staff are excellent, but sadly the place is under maintenance. Perhaps it was because of significant reduction of guests in Bagan.
Breakfast was good. Room services was good.
The hotel graciously allowed us to check in early, but I found that the toilet and towels were not cleaned properly. I alerted the front desk and they immediately cleaned the room. Another issue related to the toilet was the permanent stain on the wall and floor, and also the very low water pressure.
For that price and the cleanliness, I got a bit frustrated.

IIlya KleinLocation is the king. You can walk from the hotel to most places in old bagan. Hotel is just beautiful, gardens are eye candy. Cleanliness is questionable, I guess because throwing things on the floor is just normal in cultural way, as well as dust and spider webs are just part of the nature :)
Food is 10-40k, a bit more expensive then average. Massage is good, 30/40k for 1/1.5 hours.
Staff is unbelievable friendly and helpful!, they can easily forget something, but would try their best to help you.

HHATEOFFICIALThe location isn't close to shops and restaurants but the view nearby is breathtaking. Riding an e-bike around by myself is one of the best travel experiences I have ever had.
The room is beautiful and perfectly decorated, very friendly staff but some facilities are a bit old. The shower doesn't have hot water sometimes.
Breakfast is very good but the restaurant is a bit pricy and not very tasty, not recommended.

AAnonymous UserExcellent stay here & extended one extra day in Bagan. Staffs are super friendly & helpful, it’s inside the bagan pagodas & backyard is Irrawaddy river, quiet & pewceful. Very thankful that they let me check in earlier at 7.30am & upgraded my room to suite. I had the most wonderful time staying here in Bagan! Highly recommended!!!

YYEE THENGI stayed at Holidays Pier Hotel for 2 days during my business trip on November 2025 . The room was beautifully and clean. The location was perfect with city view. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. However, the air conditioning in our room was a bit noisy. Overall, it was a delightful experience.

TTaojiejiebushitaojieAs a business hotel at this price, there is nothing to complain about. There is a night market nearby and a convenience store supermarket opposite, which is very convenient for buying fruits and eating.
All the service staff are very very warm and friendly, and feel at home.
The breakfast dishes are also to my taste.
It is completely OK to stay alone. But if it is a family trip, the room is still a bit simple and the mattress is not very comfortable to sleep on. You can increase your budget and stay in a resort hotel.
