The Miracle Square is the top priority of visiting Pisa. The four major buildings on the square - the Cathedral of Pisa, the Baptistery, the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the cemetery are all artistic masterpieces in the history of architecture. The square was one of the centers of the essence of medieval art and had a profound influence on subsequent architectural design, and was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1987. The square takes its name from a description in a novel by the Italian writer and poet Gabriel D'Annunzio. The Pisa Cathedral in the center of the Pisa Cathedral Square was built in the 12th century AD and is a masterpiece of medieval Romanesque architecture. The mosaic decoration inside the church is mixed with Byzantine style, forming its unique "Pisa Romanesque style". Opposite the Baptistery of Pisa Cathedral is the Baptistery, which mixes Romanesque and Gothic styles. You can visit the middle of the Baptistery along the spiral staircase inside the Baptistery. The cylindrical structure, double dome and white marble make the interior of the baptistery even more beautiful. Leaning Tower of Pisa Behind the Leaning Tower of Pisa is the well-known Leaning Tower of Pisa, which itself is the bell tower of the cathedral. In the early stage of construction, the leaning tower tilted an average of 1 mm per year, and the work was stopped for a while, and the repair work has continued to this day. The rectangular building next to the Pisa Cemetery Church is the Pisa Cemetery. The tombstones, sculptures and frescoes on the cloister are also worth seeing. In addition, there is a tourist rest area on the large lawn of Miracle Square, where you can take various photos with the Leaning Tower of Pisa, buy souvenirs and snacks.Italy · Pisa

Sforza Castle is a very famous castle in Milan and one of the most famous attractions in Milan. It used to be the residence of the Sforza family who ruled Milan. The entire castle occupies a vast area, with towering city walls, exquisite courtyards, and numerous rooms, from which we can see the luxurious life of the Milan Sforza family at that time. The castle is now used as a museum and is divided into several areas. There are several museums such as the Museum of Ancient Art, the Museum of Furniture, the Museum of Musical Instruments and the Museum of Applied Art. . If time is limited, you can choose the ceiling painting "Panel Room" created by Leonardo da Vinci and the sculpture (The Madonna of Lamentation by Lundanini) made by Michelangelo a few days before his death. A must see collection in the museum. After visiting the museum, you can take a break in Parco Sempione behind the castle, which is very suitable for a walk while eating delicious Italian ice cream; you can also find a bench in the shade and enjoy lunch in a picnic-like mood , experience the life-like side of Milan.Italy · Milan

The Brera Art Gallery was officially established in 1809, but as early as 1776, it had already housed a diverse collection of artworks, which continued to expand in the following years. These works, along with the Academy of Fine Arts founded by Austria's Maria Theresa, were used for educational purposes. The collection aimed to gather exemplary works for students to study. This art gallery is one of the important repositories of Italian paintings and a representative painting museum in Milan, primarily housing works from the 15th to 18th centuries by the Lombard and Venetian schools. The Pinacoteca di Brera was founded in 1809 by Napoleon I. Initially displaying renowned paintings from the collection of the Milan Academy of Fine Arts, the exhibits gradually expanded, focusing mainly on Renaissance paintings, along with some works by Dutch artists. The gallery is housed in the Brera Palace, built in the second half of the 15th century, which was converted into an academy of fine arts in the late 18th century, becoming a gallery for students to study masterpieces. The collection includes many classic works by masters, such as Raphael's "The Marriage of the Virgin," Mantegna's "The Lamentation of Christ," Piero della Francesca's "Montefeltro Altarpiece," and Hayez's "The Kiss." Here, one can experience the outstanding artistic achievements of the Italian Renaissance in the north. By 1813, the art gallery had collected nearly 900 works, and the collection saw little change until the end of the 19th century. In the early 20th century, the collection began to grow significantly again due to generous donations from various parties, such asCaravaggio's "Supper at Emmaus" was acquired during this period, which also marked the beginning of a focus on 19th-century paintings, with numerous works being purchased successively.Italy · Milan

Lake Como is a lake carved by glacial movement, covering an area of 146 square kilometers and shaped like an inverted Y. The lake reaches depths of over 400 m, making it one of the deepest lakes in Europe. Surrounded on three sides by thefoothills of the Alps, the shoreline is long and winding, and the mild microclimate regulated by the lake allows Mediterranean plants like olives and citrus to grow along the shores, creating a distinct transition from the alpine vegetation on the hillsides. For centuries, the scenery of Lake Como has attracted numerous artists. French novelist Flaubert, and composers Rossini, Verdi, and Bellini have all drawn inspiration here. The eastern shore also features hiking trails restored from ancient paths, where you can climb to enjoy a panoramic view of the confluence of the lake's two branches and take in the beautiful scenery.Italy · Menaggio

A Milan landmark, the castle was originally built in 1360 and rebuilt by the Sforza family in 1450. It is a typical Milanese Renaissance-style military castle. The red brick main structure, coupled with soaring towers, thick walls, and symmetrical arches, exudes grandeur and a vintage charm. The core courtyard and park are completely free, while the museums charge admission but the tickets are very low, and there are multiple free admissions. The castle houses more than ten themed museums, somewhat scattered, but their collections are so valuable they can be considered miniature art palaces. You can encounter top-tier masterpieces without having to travel to major art museums. The most dazzling of these is Michelangelo's last sculpture, the Pietà of Rondanini, a masterpiece from his later years, possessing immense artistic value.

The Pinacoteca di Brera is one of Milan's most important painting museums, renowned for its rich collection of art from the Renaissance to the Baroque periods. More than just a museum, the Pinacoteca di Brera itself is a historical monument, incorporating elements of an art academy, botanical garden, and observatory, forming a unique cultural and artistic complex.

visited lake como in November 2023, I wouldn’t recommend going at that time of the year as we experienced a lot of rain, nonetheless it was still a beautiful place, with lots to do! We went to Bellagio and Varenna by ferry, which was super easy to use and both places were breathtaking
