Rajadamnern Muay Thai Stadium is a highly prestigious professional Muay Thai venue in Bangkok, regarded alongside Lumpinee Stadium as one of Thailand's two main modern Muay Thai arenas. The stadium began construction in 1941 but was halted due to material shortages during World War II, resuming after the war and hosting its first match only by the end of 1945. Initially an open-air venue without a roof, it was fitted with a concrete roof in 1951 and has undergone multiple renovations and upgrades since. Today, it stands as a modern enclosed stadium, embodying a condensed history of Thailand's professional Muay Thai. The gym hosts frequent matches year-round. On fight days, professional fighters from across Thailand compete here for the gym's own rankings and championship titles. Unlike performance-oriented bouts for travelers, these are real fights that count toward professional records: fighters wear mongkon headbands and perform ritual dances to traditional music before the match—the elaborate wai khru ceremony is worth arriving early to witness. During fights, every sweep kick and knee strike lands with full force in high-intensity clashes, so be mentally prepared. Each seating area offers a distinct experience—ringside seats provide close-up action, while the upper stands are packed with local veteran fans who roar with every powerful hit, creating waves of cheers that let you experience Muay Thai in its rawest form.Bangkok · 62 km from Chachoengsao

SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World

SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World brings a large aquarium into the two basement floors of Siam Paragon mall in downtown Bangkok, making it a highly popular family-friendly indoor attraction. Over a dozen themed exhibition areas guide visitors from tropical rainforests to the deep sea, with hundreds of marine species inhabiting the space, including large sharks measuring nearly 4 m in length. The underwater tunnel is the highlight of the aquarium, offering a 270-degree curved view where sharks, rays and schools of fish glide slowly overhead and alongside visitors. The shark walkway is a glass floor suspended above the shark tank, allowing guests to look down and see sharks swimming beneath their feet. The penguin snow park is home to a group of gentoo penguins, and through the underwater viewing window, visitors can watch them "fly" through the water, while African penguins can also be spotted in another rocky coastal area. The Asian small-clawed otters in the tropical rainforest zone are lively and playful, often drawing crowds. The jellyfish exhibit becomes particularly dreamy under changing lights, while the seahorse kingdom and green sea turtle zone invite a slower pace for closer observation. The coral reef area features schools of clownfish darting about, and the rock pool, where visitors can touch intertidal creatures like starfish, is especially popular with children. The aquarium offers scheduled feeding guides for penguins, otters, sharks and rays daily. We recommend checking the day's time slots upon arrival to plan your visit accordingly. The coral reef zone offers an optional glass-bottom boat experience - watch keepers hand-feed fish and sharks glide beneath the boat for a unique perspective. Fully air-conditioned indoors, it's ideal in any weather. A two-hour visit allows comfortable exploration, though families with children may want to allocate more time. △ Here you can observe tropical rainforest creatures such as Asian small-clawed otters, hook ants, and green crested lizards. △ Come and see our adorable Papuan penguinsBangkok · 59 km from Chachoengsao

Chao Phraya River

5.4k reviews
The Chao Phraya River is the customary name used by the Chinese community for the river known in Thai as "Chao Phraya." The term "Chao Phraya" originates from Thai, literally meaning "mother of waters," while its Thai name is often translated as "river of kings," both reflecting the river's significance in Thailand. It originates in the northern mountains of Thailand, flows south through the central plains, passes the ancient capital of Ayutthaya, and runs through the heart of Bangkok before emptying into the Gulf of Thailand. Including its upstream tributaries, it stretches over 1,000 km. Bangkok grew alongside this river, once crisscrossed by waterways and dubbed the "Venice of the East." Even today, the Chao Phraya River remains a vital waterway for local transportation and daily life. Taking a cruise is a classic way to explore the river. By day, the water bustles with public ferries, cargo boats, and crossings, resembling a watery highway for Bangkok residents, while traditional floating markets have mostly relocated to tributaries. Along the river, historic landmarks like the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun glide past, juxtaposed with modern malls like ICONSIAM across the water. A short ferry ride from Tha Tian Pier leads to Wat Arun on the opposite bank. At night, the river transforms as lights illuminate both shores, with Wat Arun's porcelain-clad spires shimmering softly. Sightseeing and dinner cruises set sail, offering a distinctly different atmosphere from the land-based experience. If timing allows, an evening cruise lets you witness both the sunset and the city lights, capturing two faces of the river in one trip. △Sparkling Chao Phraya River △Enchanting night view at Chao Phraya RiverBangkok · 64.2 km from Chachoengsao

Wat Saman Rattanaram is located in Chacheongsao province in Thailand. This temple houses the giant Phra Pikhanet statue also know as Lord Ganesha (Elephant God). The statue is 17 meters tall and 25 meters long. The temple is especially crowded during weekends and thai public holidays. There is a huge Guan Yin statue in the temple compound and a chinese temple too. To get to this temple, you can book a car from Bangkok or take the mini van from Ekkamai station in Bangkok.

Truly a remarkable experience, Huge area with a lot of beautiful old ancient buildings and the ruins. Highly recommend for couples and tourists who wish to take a photos especially bring a photographer to do it better. Take train up to Kheha and then take a taxi ( will cost you around 100 thb). Inside the ancient city - take the tramp, cart or e bike all are good options and don’t do it by walk. At least keep 5-6 hours for this and a good camera is so essential.

It was very interesting, but it was too hot the day I went. I paid 400 baht for a guided tour at the entrance. In places like this, you really need a guide to truly understand a country. The ticket also allows you to watch the performance.

It is a small bird park but not too small. Ticket prices include one-on-one bird feeding and two types of bird watching. There are many types of birds to choose from, including parrots, cockatoos, etc. If you want to feed the birds, you can buy an additional package. There are bicycles for rent. If you can't walk, there are golf carts to take you around. The bird park doesn't only have birds, but also sheep, deer, geese, ducks, buffalo, and many other animals to see. It is recommended to bring an umbrella and walk around instead of riding a bike. There are no shops selling drinks or food inside. Bring your own water.

Golden Church, Wat Pak Nam Jo Lo, located in Bang Khla District, Chachoengsao Province. Admire the only ordination hall in Thailand that is entirely painted gold, both inside and outside the ordination hall, which is extremely beautiful. Outside the temple, there is an ancient boat from the era of King Taksin on display. You can also crawl under the base of the principal Buddha image inside the ordination hall for good fortune. Originally, Wat Pak Nam Jo Lo was a monastery. In the past, this area was the location of the Burmese army, which led land and navy troops to clash with King Taksin’s army. Later, King Taksin the Great was victorious and ordered the construction of a pagoda as a memorial. Currently, a new ordination hall has been built that is entirely gold. #WatPakNamJoLo #WatPakNamJoLoBangKla #WatPakNamJoLoGoldenOrdinationHall #WatPakNamJoLo

A fantastic tour! Enjoy a buffet on the deck, feel the river breeze, admire the scenery on both banks, and listen to a live band. The views along both sides of the Chao Phraya River are unobstructed. I recommend taking a boat at night for an even more beautiful night view!
