The Palace Museum of the Manchurian Regime is a cultural tourism landmark in Changchun that combines the dual attributes of "museum + attraction". It is currently a national first-class museum, a key cultural relics protection unit, one of the first batch of national AAAAA tourist attractions, a national patriotic education demonstration base, a national research and practice education base for primary and secondary schools, one of China's "most innovative museums", and an influential project unit of the International Council on Monuments and Sites. The Palace Museum of the Manchurian Regime is located at No. 5 Guangfu North Road, Kuancheng District, Changchun, Jilin Province. It was originally the Changchun salt warehouse in the late Qing Dynasty and later served as the official office of the Jilin-Heilongjiang Salt Tax Bureau during the early Republic of China. From 1932 to 1945, it was the imperial residence of Puyi, the puppet emperor of the Manchurian regime. In 1962, it became the Exhibition Hall of Imperialist Aggression in Northeast China and later the Exhibition Hall of the Manchurian Regime Palace. In 2000, it was officially renamed the Palace Museum of the Manchurian Regime, becoming an important site for patriotic education. In recent years, the Palace Museum of The Manchurian Regime has embraced the vision of "becoming a pioneer in innovative operations among China's museums and attractions." Through its development strategy focusing on academic excellence, creative revitalization, innovation-driven growth, and open sharing, it has achieved leapfrog progress in various operations and overall enhancement in museum management. The museum integrates six functional areas: the imperial core zone, the exhibition hall of northeast China's occupation history, the museum eye art palace, the M+ creative block, the interactive experience zone, and the administrative area. The palace museum of the Manchurian regime currently has 39 original displays of the Manchurian court including the Jixi building, Qinmin building, and Tongde hall, along with 4 large-scale permanent exhibitions and 12 thematic exhibitions. It has saved over 73,000 art pieces, including a large collection of Manchurian court relics, Japanese modern artifacts, northeastern China modern artifacts, folk relics, representative modern paintings and calligraphy, sculptures, and works by intangible cultural heritage inheritors.Changchun · 10.1 km from downtown

The Hill

The Hill is a cultural, commercial, and tourism complex located in the Hongqi Street business district of Changchun. Its uniqueness lies in bringing a mountain indoors: upon entering, you are greeted by mountain-shaped architecture, with the main mountain path spiraling upward. Stone steps, alleys, courtyards, quaint plaques, and rocks are scattered throughout, accompanied by lush greenery, the sound of water, and birdsong, allowing you to experience the fun of mountain climbing without leaving the city. The entire mountain is enclosed indoors, so even in the cold Northeast winters, the mountain remains green, and you can visit as usual during rain or snow. Walking up the mountain path, you will find craft shops, bookstores, teahouses, general stores, and creative boutiques scattered along the way, while snack streets, cinemas, and theaters are also hidden within the mountain; the Wencham Pavilion at the highest point is the core view for overlooking the entire mountain, while the Wangshan Pavilion at the end of the route is perfect for a rest, offering a panoramic view of the mountainside. The spacious cave hall can host markets, exhibitions, and other events. Strolling here relies entirely on walking up steps, which tests your stamina and can be disorienting, but fortunately, the merchants along the way are happy to help with directions. If you catch immersive performances like the "Mountain Opening Ceremony," flash mobs and costume interactions will make your visit more engaging; after nightfall, the mountain remains brightly lit and bustling, making it a great place for weekend strolls and family-friendly outings, and a great spot to experience the local vibe of Changchun.Changchun · 6.1 km from downtown

It's a large lake, and we circled around it. An unlimited shuttle bus ticket costs 20 yuan, while a single ride costs 10 yuan. You can hop on and off at any stop. The park is lush with greenery, but the entertainment options are average, as it's not the dead of winter. There are skiing facilities, though.

I found out from an online search that the top spot on the Changchun night view rankings is actually the Changchun Zoo and Botanical Garden. The night tickets are more expensive than the day tickets, so I was curious and decided to check it out. Entry starts at 4:30 pm, and the welcoming dance is very lively. The park is themed around Journey to the West, and with the lighting effects, it feels like a lantern festival. The park has stages in many places for various performances and interactions with visitors. It was my first time visiting a zoo and botanical garden and I didn't see any animals because they had already finished their get off work hours at night.

The entire scenic area is quite large. It's recommended to allow 2 hours for the Imperial Palace Museum, and the outer area also includes the Northeast Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall and the M+ Park. Therefore, it's advisable to allow at least 3 hours for the entire scenic area.

The parks in our great northern region are truly spacious! The "Soaring Through China" attraction at Changchun Film Studio Century City was so breathtaking and exhilarating—an immersive experience of flying through the air! I wanted more after watching it, but unfortunately, time was too tight for a second visit. Here are some tips: Plan your time well in advance, ask the staff for directions to find the best queueing routes, and queue at different times for each attraction, taking breaks in between. Don't rush; this will allow you to enjoy the experience at your own pace 😊. Unfortunately, we were having so much fun that my child's ID card slipped and got lost! Haha, a small regret. Good luck to everyone coming after us! 😂

This place has a strong sense of history, attracting many middle-aged and elderly visitors who are nostalgic. The exhibits include film introductions from various eras, primarily using pictures, text, and video materials. It would be great if more filming locations could be added.

It was so much fun, much more fun than Harbin! The wait wasn't long either. Around 7 PM, I met some locals who were shivering inside, stamping their feet in the cold. I told them I'd been there for nine hours already, haha! I even bought a giant sword!

Tianding Mountain Family Fun Experience (approx. 200 words) A weekend trip to Tianding Mountain with the kids! We tried everything – the cable car, the mountain bikes, and the double-track toboggan – a truly immersive experience! The sightseeing cable car winds through the lush greenery, offering panoramic views of the meadows and the city skyline from the summit, all while enjoying a refreshing mountain breeze. The brightly colored mountain bikes are self-controlled and incredibly fun, with winding curves that kept the kids laughing non-stop. Children under 130cm can ride with adults. The high-altitude double toboggan is thrilling yet relaxing, with its undulating tracks and fantastic forest atmosphere. A package deal combining all three attractions offers even better value. The park has excellent facilities, including a lawn for camping and relaxation. The staff are patient and helpful, and safety measures are in place. It's a great choice for a family outing near Changchun!

Lokasinya sangat strategis. Di depannya bahkan ada Wanda Plaza, Changchun Film Studio dan jalur kereta 54. Dalam Mall nya sendiri, landscapingnya cukup menarik. Terasa seperti tempat wisata di area pegunungan.

As far as I know, there are 6 permanent exhibition halls, and the rest are mobile exhibition halls (?). 4F houses the Duan Chenggui Calligraphy Museum, exhibiting replicas of Su Shi's "Ode to the Spring Scenery of Dongting Lake and Ode to the Pine Wine of Zhongshan." 3F contains the Jilin Provincial Modern History Museum, covering topics from the resistance against Tsarist Russia to the Xinhai Revolution, from the anti-Fengtian uprising to the War of Resistance against Japan and the liberation. A detailed look will inspire respect for these figures. 2F is dedicated to the ancient history of Jilin Province, from the dawn of civilization to the elegance of the Han and Tang dynasties, from the grandeur of Songmo to the splendor of the Ming and Qing dynasties. It covers the people of Yushu and Antu, the Buyeo Kingdom and Goguryeo, and the Liao, Jin, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. The only drawback is that many artifacts in the Han and Tang Dynasty exhibition hall are on loan, resulting in a less than ideal experience. History buffs should definitely not miss it.
