WenShuFang is an antique-style cultural block in Qingyang District, Chengdu, adjacent to Wenshu Monastery. Opened in 2006, the Wenshu Monastery area, where it is located, is one of Chengdu's three major historical and cultural conservation zones, alongside Kuanzhai Alley and Daci Temple. The block primarily features architecture in the traditional Sichuanese residential style, with teahouses, snack shops, intangible cultural heritage workshops, and Hanfu stores nestled among gray-tiled roofs, wooden doors, and courtyards. It is also a popular spot for locals to drink tea and chat. The main streets in the district each have their own distinctive features: Wuyuegong Street is dedicated to intangible cultural heritage, with workshops showcasing traditional crafts like Shu brocade, Shu embroidery, lacquerware, bamboo weaving, and silver filigree, where artisans can often be seen working on-site; Nanyue Lane is a hub for Hanfu culture, with a constant stream of people dressed in Hanfu taking photos against the backdrop of ancient-style gate towers and red walls, and the street also offers Hanfu rental and makeup services; Jinma Lane is the heart of old Chengdu flavors, where time-honored snacks like imperial walnut cakes and Zhang Liangfen from Dongzikou can be enjoyed from one end of the street to the other. When you need a break, you can stop at a teahouse for a bowl of covered-bowl tea. The district also hosts Sichuan opera performances, where you can enjoy face-changing, fire-spitting, and long-spout tea art while sipping tea, fully immersing yourself in Chengdu's unique blend of leisure and liveliness. When touring, you might as well combine this place with the nearby Wenshu Monastery into one route, visiting the ancient temple first and then exploring the alleys, which can be completed in half a day. Travelers planning to take Hanfu photos are advised to allocate more time for makeup, styling, and framing.China · Chengdu

Enshi Grand Canyon National 5A Scenic Area and National Geopark is a world-renowned "natural museum" of composite karst landforms with "ground fissures, cenotes and rock pillars" coexisting at the same time. Its ecological environment is unique, and its natural scenery is primitive and simple, with a gallery of ten thousand meters of cliffs, a thousand-foot waterfall, hundreds of unique peaks, and ten miles of deep ravines. Yunlong Ground Fissure is called "the beautiful scar of the earth"; "One Incense Stick" was rated as one of the 40 famous scenic spots in China by foreign media. The river valley is deep and the bank is steep. It is known as the "ten-mile and hundred-foot cliff". It is the main sightseeing area of Yunlong Ground Fissure Scenic Area. Because the strata here are horizontal, and the rock has a high compressive strength (800 kg/cm3), and there is no tilt or slip, it cannot be moved by the wind or knocked down by the rain. 👣👣 08:00 Arrive at the scenic area Opening hours ⏰ 08:00-18:00, it is recommended to buy tickets online in advance (reference price 38-40 yuan/person, saving time and money🎟️) 🚶‍♀️📸 Bamboo Sea Stroll Guide Enter from the old scenic area gate! You'll be immersed in a sea of bamboo as soon as you enter! Recommended route: Walk along the bamboo sea trail → Viewing platform/Huifeng Tower (overlooking the "green ocean"🌊) → Small Stone Forest, Tongtian Cave (karst wonder🗿) → Nan bamboo forest (tall and straight Nan bamboos provide ample shade, a perfect backdrop for photos📷) 1️⃣ Vast bamboo sea, even breathing is green🌿 The most fundamental characteristic of Wufeng Mountain can be summed up in one word—bamboo! With a forest coverage rate of 96.3%, over 50,000 mu of bamboo forest undulates with the mountainside. When the wind blows, the bamboo tips sway like waves, truly resembling a green ocean. The bamboo is thick and upright; stepping inside, the light immediately softens, and the perceived temperature drops sharply. The rustling sound of the mountain wind through the bamboo forest is more soothing than any music playing from a stereo. 2️⃣ Beautiful in every season, each with its own unique charm. It's fun all year round, but spring is the most unmissable! After a spring rain, bamboo shoots break through the soil, some reaching seven or eight meters tall, like sharp swords pointing straight to the sky—a breathtaking display of vitality! • ☀️ Summer: A summer paradise (average annual temperature of only 12.5℃, mild winters and cool summers) 🍂 Autumn: Gradually changing mountain colors, swaying bamboo shadows ❄️ Winter: If you're lucky, you might even see the spectacular southern scenery of snow and emerald bamboo 🍽️ 12:00-13:30 Lunch and Rest Enjoy a bamboo shoot feast! Recommendations: 【Wufeng Mountain Bamboo Shoot Feast Restaurant】Creative bamboo shoot dishes: bamboo placenta, bamboo bird's nest, bamboo tripe stir-fried with local eggs, bamboo fungus family feast…and fried bamboo heart worms (a delicacy for the brave 😜) 【Xianxian Well Water Fish Restaurant】The pickled fish is amazing! (You can also find authentic eastern Sichuan flavors like Dongliu fish head and fermented rice dumplings in the surrounding area or Dazhu County 😋) 3️⃣ More than just bamboo—a three-dimensional landscape of mountains, water, and stone forests ⛰️ The scenic area integrates "mountains, bamboo, and stones" into one. Deep within the valley lies a mysterious karst cave, with stalactites in countless shapes and forms. There are also precious tree species such as yew, osmanthus, and nanmu. If you're lucky, you might even encounter wild animals! 💦 13:30-17:00 Leisure Exploration · Take a break by Qingyan Lake and watch the water birds frolicking. · Take the kids through the bamboo forest maze. · Search for the thousand-year-old yew tree (time to test your eyesight! 🔍) 4️⃣ The Fusion of Bamboo Culture and Buddhist Culture 🙏 Dazhu County is known as the "Hometown of Green Bamboo in Eastern Sichuan." Bamboo here symbolizes "simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, and humility is like bamboo." The scenic area also incorporates Buddhist culture, creating a layered experience of nature and humanity. 🚗 Afternoon itinerary over? We can continue the fun! Nearby attractions include Baidao Lake Hot Springs♨️, Qinghe Ancient Town🏘️, Yunfeng Tea Valley🍃, and Huanxiping, so if you have enough time, keep exploring! 🗺️ Super convenient transportation · From Dazhou: 61km from Dazhou, a weekend getaway for Dazhou residents🌼 · Scenic Area Entrance: Adjacent to National Highway 318, navigate to "Dazhu Wufeng Mountain National Forest Park" for direct access🚙

The Congren Valley Scenic Area in Qu County is much cheaper if you buy tickets online in advance. This scenic area is quite off the beaten path; I guess it's not usually visited. It tells the story of the ancient Congren people living in caves. Climbing mountains and stairs requires physical strength, and many caves are very narrow and cramped, so you have to be extra careful when walking. At the end of the path, there are two lakes to visit, and you can even go boating. The lakes are beautiful, somewhat reminiscent of Jiuzhaigou. The only downside is the abundance of mosquitoes; stopping anywhere easily attracts them.

The Two Rivers Ferry is absolutely fantastic! The 15 yuan ticket is incredibly cost-effective! Here's a great route for families with kids: After visiting Jiefangbei and Kuixinglou, see Hongyadong during the day. If you're traveling with a 6-year-old and don't want to brave the crowds at Hongyadong at night, the stilted buildings during the day are just as beautiful. Afterward, take the Two Rivers Ferry to Danzishi, disembark, and explore Danzishi Old Street, Nanbin Road, and Xiahaoli. Then, take the light rail/bus or taxi back. The whole route is smooth and relaxing. The boat ride is novel and fun, and the kids especially loved it, remaining enthusiastic about exploring the shopping streets afterwards. At the pier, there's a large bowl of freshly cut watermelon for 10 yuan – watch it being cut right in front of you! It's sweet and refreshing. I highly recommend this route for families!

It was a worthwhile trip! There was no wind that day, so I didn't need a raincoat at the crevice; an umbrella was enough. I recommend going on a sunny day for a more beautiful view. Regarding transportation, after arriving at Wulong South Station, head straight to the exit for the shuttle bus. It costs 16 yuan per person and takes about 45 minutes to reach the visitor center. Then take a shuttle bus to the Sansheng Bridge. After visiting the Sansheng Bridge, you can take another shuttle bus from the exit to the crevice. After visiting the crevice, take the bus back to Wulong South. We arrived at Wulong South around 8:50 AM, reached the Sansheng Bridge at 10:00 AM, took a bus from the crevice exit around 2:40 PM, and arrived at Wulong South around 4:00 PM. Finally, we took the G2436 train departing at 4:47 PM back to Chongqing. It was a leisurely trip overall.

Wenshu Fang, nestled against the ancient Wenshu Monastery, exudes the rustic charm of western Sichuan folk customs amidst its blue bricks and gray tiles. I strolled leisurely here with my dog, wandering through bamboo paths and red-walled, green corridors; even he couldn't resist frolicking on the stone slabs. There's none of the hustle and bustle of trendy shops, only the jasmine fragrance wafting from teahouses and the gentle sounds of artisans hammering bamboo – the atmosphere is simply divine! Wenshu Fang is a hidden gem of a Chengdu food map! Just step outside and you can enjoy authentic "Dongzikou Zhang Lao Er" sweet water noodles, their sour, spicy, and savory flavors instantly awakening your taste buds. I squatted by the window and ordered a spicy hot pot for my dog, and he quietly devoured half the bowl! There's also freshly ground soy milk and ice jelly on the street corner; even my dog couldn't resist licking the soy pulp clean from the rim of the bowl! Wenshu Fang is incredibly pet-friendly! I took photos with my dog in front of the "Wenshu Fang" cultural and creative shop; he posed on the bluestone slabs against the backdrop of the ancient buildings with their upturned eaves – every snapshot looked like a masterpiece of traditional Chinese style. The shop also thoughtfully provided a water station for pets, so you don't have to worry about your pet getting thirsty.

Enshi Grand Canyon comprises two scenic areas. A full ticket cost 370 yuan, and a day was plenty of time to explore. We entered the park at 8:30 am, visited Qixingzhai in the morning, and Yunlong Ground Fissure at 1 pm. We took the "Little Waist" elevator up at 3 pm. However, after reaching the top, we had to take an escalator and a mini-train to the parking lot, which took an hour. For someone almost 60 years old, visiting both scenic areas was quite manageable.

The road to Shu is difficult, more difficult than ascending to heaven. Every step we take has profound meaning: it's good exercise, we see beautiful scenery, and we also see the mountains and rivers of our great motherland. The first hour was very tiring, but we climbed the narrow, winding path.
