Lake Bunyonyi: Mgahinga Gorilla National Park Day Trip

Embark on a one-day gorilla trekking trip to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park from Lake Bunyonyi. Take a guided walk through the forest to see the gorillas up close. Learn about the gorillas and their natural habitat from a ranger guide.

After an early breakfast and with your packed lunch, meet your driver guide at your hotel on Lake Bunyonyi to brief you about the day's gorilla trekking trip. Begin the 2.5-hour journey to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

Upon arrival, do the gorilla trekking registration and meet the senior ranger guide who will walk with you in the forest in search of a gorilla family. Once you find the gorillas, you'll be allowed to stay with them for an hour taking pictures and observing their daily activities.

Afterwards, walk back to the car park to drive back to Lake Bunyonyi, marking the end of your day gorilla trip.
