Backed by twelve mountain peaks and facing the fine sandy shores of Camps Bay Beach, legend has it that the twelve apostles of Christ were so captivated by the beauty of Camps Bay Beach that they stood here, transforming into the twelve majestic peaks.

▲ Seal Island is a small island located in Hout Bay, renowned for its large population of seals and seagulls. The Cape fur seal is a native species of southern Africa, breeding along the coastlines of South Africa and Namibia. They can reach speeds of up to 17 kilometers per hour. The island is just a few kilometers from Hout Bay Harbour, and visitors must take a cruise to observe the seals. Tourists are not allowed to disembark on the island but can view the seals from the boat while circling the island.

▲ There is a legend that long ago, twelve Christian missionaries came from the West to spread their faith and do good in South Africa, but unfortunately perished at sea. Not long after, these twelve disciples miraculously came back to life and came ashore right here.
