Reviews: Cairns Green Island Big Cat half-day tour with snorkeling/glass-bottom boat

A classic half-day tour. Rain was forecast, but the weather cooperated, so it was quite nice. Those prone to motion sickness should definitely take medication before going out to sea.

The organization was excellent, and the transfer to and from the port was seamless. The catamaran was comfortable. The staff deserves a special mention – they were welcoming and friendly, 10000% out of 100! They were very attentive, always ready to help, and created a great atmosphere, no matter the weather. Unfortunately, the boat ride was canceled due to the weather, but we were refunded for that part of the tour without any questions asked – that was a relief. The reef itself and Green Island are, of course, beautiful, despite the weather. We weren't able to fully enjoy all the activities, but no one can control the weather.

Beautiful island, if you don’t snorkel though there not much to do. Glass bottom boat is good. Food sold on the island is basic. Not all menu”s are written in other languages with pictures. Overall relaxing day.

The team provided excellent service, carefully explaining marine knowledge and itinerary precautions on the way there. However, the itinerary was very tight. We arrived at the Great Barrier Reef at nearly 12:00, immediately participated in a semi-submarine tour, followed by lunch, and then snorkeling. Time was limited, and we had to prepare to return to the water around 2:30. I do not recommend participating in any more experiences, as it was very rushed.

The so-called "Chinese-speaking tour" is actually just a confirmation email sent to your phone by the merchant after you've successfully purchased and paid for the tickets. It lists the activities included in the package. However, there's virtually no Chinese-speaking service throughout the trip; it's essentially like buying two packages and then traveling entirely independently. On the boat and on the Great Barrier Reef platform, those who speak good English can learn more about the activities and have a smoother experience, while those who don't can just go with the flow. The overall experience of this tour wasn't as great as I had imagined beforehand; this varies from person to person because everyone's past experiences and expectations are different.

Have access to 3 amazing reefs and crew is amazing. Safety is taken seriously and hence you feel safe while snorkelling (even you don’t know swimming like me ). For first time scuba divers, maybe practicing in pool water could have been better for acclimatisation to give confidence.
