I only found out later that it was a guaranteed tour package. I was the only one on the tour that day, which was like having a private VIP car for one person! Luckily, the sky cleared up after it had turned cloudy. There was a 7.0 magnitude earthquake in Yilan that day, but thankfully I returned to Taipei that same day. The shockwave in Taipei was incredibly strong; just thinking about it now makes me shudder. The sea in the picture is the epicenter… If I had booked a tour after that day, I probably wouldn't have been able to go at all. Thankfully, our tour guide, Brother Wang Shaoyang, was incredibly kind; he even helped me with the explanations and taking photos while I was alone.About
