Reviews: Great Ocean Road Small-Group Eco Tour from Melbourne

I initially thought it was a Chinese-language tour, but after joining, I discovered it was only available in Chinese through the app. However, the guide's explanations were very vivid and clear, as well as humorous and informative, and he even helped solo travelers take photos. Another commendable point was that the guide would write the meeting time on a whiteboard before each disembarkation, ensuring that those who don't speak English well would understand and avoid misunderstandings. We were fortunate enough to see wild koalas along the way. Due to the long distance, the itinerary was a bit tight. After the helicopter ride, there wasn't much time to take photos at the Twelve Apostles. However, the photos taken from the helicopter were beautiful and worthwhile.

A wonderful tour. Everything was perfectly timed, with so many beautiful views that you have to stay awake and look out the window. Lunch at the seafood cafe was delicious. The 12 Apostles leave a lasting impression. I highly recommend taking a helicopter flight over the 12 Apostles. At $195 Australian dollars, it's much cheaper than similar flights in the US. So it's definitely worth it. The bus was comfortable, and the driver/guide was helpful.
Reviews: Melbourne Puffing Billy Steam Train + Phillip Island Penguin Island Day Trip
Guest User2026-03-11
This group tour of the Melbourne Steam Train and Phillip Island was fantastic! The itinerary was well-planned and smooth. The Puffing Billy Steam Train was both retro and soothing, winding through the Dandenong Ranges with picturesque scenery. The open-top carriages were incredibly comfortable, perfect for taking amazing photos. The Chinese-speaking guide was professional and enthusiastic, providing engaging commentary and attentive guidance throughout the journey. We didn't have to worry about transportation or tickets, making it a relaxed and worry-free experience. The evening penguin parade on Phillip Island was adorable; the sight of the little blue penguins waddling home was heartwarming. The atmosphere was orderly, and the guide even reminded us of important information beforehand. The driver and guide were reliable, the pace was relaxed, and the whole day was fulfilling and unforgettable. It's a must-do classic tour in Melbourne, highly recommended!

Reviews: [Optional Popular Wooden Bridge] Melbourne Puffing Billy Steam Train + Phillip Island Penguin Island Day Trip

It was a fantastic trip! We set off at 8 AM to catch the earliest little train. The cool, refreshing morning air and the steam from the train were so pleasant. The staff were incredibly helpful, waving goodbye as the train pulled away. We saw many residents and tourists along the way, and everyone greeted us warmly – it was so much fun! Then we went to the zoo and a chocolate factory. The driver kept giving us tips on how to have fun and eat the most cost-effective things. We then visited a beautiful island, and finally, we went to Penguin Island. There weren't many penguins that day, but we still saw a few up close. We didn't get back to the city until after 11 AM. The trip was quite long, and the driver was the most tired, as he had to drop us off and then drive home himself. I highly recommend this tour! Small car transportation, fewer people, and comfortable.
