Reviews: Malaga: Old Tour Walking Tour w/Cathedral & Picasso Museum
Guest User2026-01-16
Both of our guides were incredibly knowledgeable about their respective areas. The first half of the tour was of Constitution Square and the Cathedral, with the bulk of the tour in the Cathedral. We learned a lot about the local history and enjoyed the gorgeous altar pieces and woodwork. We did not have time for much of a break before the second part of the tour began, and an enthusiastic tour guide took us into the Picasso Museum where we received education in art history and cubism, as well as information about Picasso. This was wonderful but exceeded the posted three hour posted tour time quite a bit and so we had to depart to get the train before she was finished. Plan on four hours and then you will want to stay a fifth to walk through the entire museum and see more works, or break the two tours up. Since we came in from Marbella, it was either two plus hours on public transport or a pricey Uber each way. This tour would be best if staying local or closer.

Very well told. Great praise to Monica. She studied art history, so she was able to convey a great deal of information about the paintings and Picasso.
Reviews: From Malaga: Caminito del Rey all included

Loved the Caminito Del Ray. Martha was our tour-guide and she was very informative, fun and enthusiastic. I don’t normally book guided tours but made this exception. On reflection, I would have preferred a non guided trip where I could walk at my own pace and enjoy the scenery without the commentary (there was too much stopping and starting for me). This is not a reflection on Marta (she was excellent), hence the 5 stars. The bus stopped en route at a cafe and we were told which group we belong to/tour-guide etc. After the walk, we were driven to the same cafe (this time for an hour). I’m sure lots of people appreciated the stop (after 30 mins max of driving) for food/toilet but I felt it unnecessary. Unfortunately the air con wasn’t working on the way home and the heat made me feel quite ill. I realise it’s no-one’s fault but I couldn’t wait to get to Malaga and off the bus. I recommend this trip to anyone who enjoys guided tours. Caminito del Ray is a must!
Reviews: Malaga: Tour of Malagueta Bullring & Immersive Exhibition

We were 10 minutes ahead of time, expecting someone to meet us but the place was closed. At 10 am, the entrance opened and we were given the audio guide which provided the guidance needed to make our way through the bullring and the museum. Excellent! (The bullring in Ronda is no comparison!) The only confusion occurred at the end (the exit). Poorly labelled and the stair descent back to the ground level had incomplete hand rails for those who may need them. Nevertheless, the experience was one-of-a-kind! Bravo!

There wasn't a route available, which was a real shame. The rental guy was a bit lost, but you quickly get over that. All in all, it was fine.
