Highly recommended.💯 The service was smooth and easy. We were picked up from out front hotel at Shangri-La. We took a private tour of 3 people. Went to Balagezong up until the peak. Then stay overnight opposite Meili Snow Mountain. We are lucky we are able to catch the gold sunrise from Meili Snow Mountain. Mr. Stone our driver and guide - is very helpful, providing us information about culture, history and facts. Appreciate it so much. If you are going to Shangri-La please spend time to go to Balagezong and Meili Snow Mountain. Worth every penny. 😊★

Was worth it to be able to see a different part of Shangrila away from the main tourist areas near town. However it could be a bit tiring for a day trip as the journey takes a long time. The scenery made it worth it. I also liked how we were able to customize the tour to suit our timing while our guide was very informative and enthusiastic.★

Balagezong is a highly recommended stop on any Yunnan trip. It's not overly commercialized, and the overall tourist experience is excellent. From the 1700-year-old Bala Village and the Echo Wall to the Shangri-La Grand Canyon, everything is breathtaking. Balagezong is a place that offers more memorable experiences than just sightseeing, and it's definitely worth a visit.★

The tour was nice, we saw beautiful places but the guide was not speaking english at all. The first stop to see the bend of the river was not done. We had to pay some extras for wearing local costumes and riding horses around Napa area. If you don’t pay, then you have 2 hours free but there is nothing much to do around except pictures with horses. But the meal was included with local food and a dance show. At the end, it was a nice day but don’t expect to learn information about the places you will see if you don’t speak chinese.★

We were so glad that we booked this trip to travel between Lijiang and Shangri-la. We had already booked our accommodation in both places, and at first were considering to take the train, but we are so glad we chose this option instead. The driver picked us up from the hotel in Lijiang at 8am and we went to a local market for breakfast, which I had requested the day before. We arrived at our hotel in Shangri-La before 6pm. On the way we visited Tiger Leaping Gorge, witnessed the amazing scenery along the way and also visited Songzanlin Monastery on our arrival in Shangri-La. Jennifer our tour guide was really great. She is a local Naxi person, and told us a lot about Naxi culture and traditions and was really interesting to listen to, without being too talkative or giving information overload. She also left us to have some time on our own, and we didn't feel pressured or rushed. The whole pace was relaxing and stress free. Thankyou so much for a wonderful day!★

The driver contacted us the night before to confirm the departure time! He arrived early to help with our luggage and politely reminded us to fasten our seatbelts! Once everyone was ready, he explained the day trip itinerary, reminded us that we were approaching the attractions, clearly explained the ticket prices and meeting times, and even helped us buy the tickets! The driver was very polite and attentive, drove smoothly, and seemed energetic all day, making us feel very safe. The scenery was beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed the day trip. Thank you!
