🌳 3 Must-Do Things at Amanohashidate
1️⃣ Climb to the top of "Umbrella Pine Park" for a bird's-eye view of the sandbar
→ Take the cable car to the top (round trip ¥720), and take a "reverse Fuji" composition from the viewpoint overlooking the sea.
→ Hidden spot: The west side of the observation deck at the top of the mountain offers a stunning view of the sandbar and the Aso Sea side-by-side!
2️⃣ Walk barefoot on the "Natural White Sand Beach"
→ Take off your shoes and walk on 2km of pure white sand. The seawater washing over your ankles at high tide is incredibly soothing.
→ Rent a bicycle (¥500/hour) and chase seagulls along the sandbar, feeling the shape of the wind.
3️⃣ Visit "Chieunji Temple" for amulets
→ Vermilion torii gates paired with century-old pine trees; seek amulets for academic success/marriage (from ¥800).

You can visit major tourist spots that are difficult to reach on your own in one day. We traveled in a minivan (Nissan Caravan) with eight people. Due to road conditions, the ride was not particularly comfortable. The driver was friendly, but although the tour was in English, there was little explanation of the tourist spots. There was no set meeting time and no communication, so we had to worry about the time while sightseeing. They picked us up from the hotel, but we waited about 40 minutes. I think this is normal for the area. On the way back, we met up at a shopping mall, but it seems they can also take you back to the hotel if you negotiate. It was great.About
