A harbour cruise with good information. Wine or beer available to buy. The cruise gave a good perspective on the harbour. Great value.

Reviews: Auckland: Return Ferry Ticket to Rangitoto Island
Guest User2026-03-20
We wanted to be active on our last day in Auckland. We took the first (9:30am) ferry from the dock. The trip took about 25 mins. Interesting hike with a few good sightings of birds. Not many people live on Rangitoto Island. There are just a handful of Bach huts and no restaurants/cafes. Do take water and a few snacks and a hat. Took the first ferry back at 2:30pm and we walked for the best part of 4 hours (25,000 steps)
