[White Temple] Its original name is Wat Long Khun, also known as Wat Long Khun, Wat Ling Kwang, or Wat Long Khun. From a distance, the temple appears to be built of shimmering porcelain; only upon closer inspection does one realize that this illusion is created by white paint and glass glitter. The White Temple is painted pure white with silver mirror edging, serenely reflecting a dazzling light. It has no gold embellishments whatsoever; its silvery white surface resembles delicate hands gently reaching towards the sky.

[ Wat Chiang Yuen (Red Temple) ] is located north of the ancient city, facing Wat Lok Molee across the river. This temple dates back to the reign of King Tilokaraj, the ninth monarch of the Lanna Kingdom, when the king and queen ordered the demolition of the royal palace to build a temple for preserving Mahayana Buddhist scriptures. Later, the temple was reconstructed in 2010 on the site of the older Royal Wat Umong, becoming a popular photo spot for visitors today.

The Blue Temple, with its predominantly cobalt blue color symbolizing the wisdom and compassion of Buddha, is accented with dazzling gold details, creating a striking contrast and a surreal, dreamlike atmosphere. While the exterior of the main hall is in the classic Lanna style, the interior is a completely different world. A colossal white Buddha statue sits solemnly in the center of the blue hall, behind which are exquisite murals depicting Buddhist stories and myths. Compared to the bustling White Temple, the Blue Temple offers a greater sense of tranquility and solemnity, allowing you to calmly appreciate the power of art and the sacredness of religion.
