Featuring a reclining Buddha from the Tang Dynasty, a Guanyin statue from the Northern Song Dynasty, and a wooden pavilion from the Ming Dynasty, this site showcases architectural and sculptural styles spanning from the golden age of the Tang to the Ming era.
It features the largest reclining Buddha statue from the Tang Dynasty (23m) in China, along with the towering standing statues of the "Three Saints of the West" in the Yuanjue Cave, all exuding a strong sense of grandeur.
There are both well-developed attractions near the county town and pristine hidden gems nestled in the mountains (such as Qianfo Village), where you can sit quietly and listen to the chanting of Buddhist scriptures and the chirping of cicadas.
