Reviews: 1-Day Private Charter Tour • Hanging Temple + Mount Heng + Yong'an Temple + Yuanjue Temple
Guest User2026-09-13
The team was incredible and tailored the day to accommodate us. We wanted to enter the Hanging Temples so, Mr. Gong, our driver, collected us at 5:50 a.m.. He guided us to the ticket lines (there were already a lot of people in line) and helped us purchase our tickets. After that, he explained to us where to go. Both the Hanging Temples and seeing the valley from the top of Hengshan were well worth it. This itinerary saves time as the Hengshan cable car and hike are part of the same tourist area as the Hanging Temples, connected by shuttles .We chose to return to Datong afterwards instead of going to the temples. We were very happy with our day and would recommend this tour to other travellers. Thank you again, Mr. Gong.

Reviews: Private Group Tour | Datong Classic One‑Day Tour: Hanging Temple, Yingxian Wooden Pagoda & Yungang Grottoes | Door‑to‑Door Pick‑up & Drop‑off service including

I booked because I saw the tickets were all-inclusive; my goal was to climb the Hanging Temple. However, when the driver went to buy the tickets, they were sold out. I paid full price and didn't receive any credit. The tour was supposed to end at 7:30 PM, but we finished three hours early. It wasn't the driver's fault; we simply wanted to rush through the visit.

Reviews: Private Car Tour: Yungang, Hanging Temple, Yingxian Pagoda or any Datong attractions
Guest User2026-10-18
They were very punctual, and our driver was incredibly kind. The weather was terrible—lots of rain, wind, and cold—and he was very concerned that we still have a good experience despite that. First, we went to the Hanging Temple. We couldn't go up because of the weather and because tickets have to be bought a week in advance, which we didn't know, but we were able to go inside and see it from a distance. Then we went to the grottoes, which are amazing, and thanks to the weather, we practically had them to ourselves, which made it magical and incredible! After that, we went to eat something delicious and very inexpensive. He took us for a drive around the city and to see the mural of the five dragons. It was a special day! Thank you for everything!

Reviews: Yungang Grottoes + Hanging Temple + Yingxian Wooden Pagoda Excluding tickets day tour
Guest User2026-08-31
We’re starting the trip on 7 AM from our hotel and managed to get the Hanging Temple’s climbing tickets. The driver, Mr Liu are very communicative, accommodative, and making us rest assured while the trip on going. He always accompany us until the entrance gate. The taxi that he brought is also clean and neat. We finish our trip on 4 PM and it was a good trip to explore datong and the culture.

Reviews: Tour from Datong: Xuankong temple + Ying County wooden pagoda + volcano (admission ticket not included)
Guest User2026-10-25
My friend and I received a very warm welcome. The journey took us along back roads, allowing us to admire the surrounding countryside from the window. The driver was very accommodating to our requests to stay longer at the wooden pagoda and to climb up to the hanging temple. I highly recommend it!
