Porto: Douro Valley Wine Tour with a Sommelier & Boat Trip

Starting from Porto, you'll be transported to the charming Vinho Verde region first, where your journey begins by exploring the vineyards and the olive grove of a family owned winery with a history that spans over 4 centuries and where you will interact with the owners themselves, the protagonists of all that history, after the visit a wine tasting and regional product pairings will follow with a ton of fun moments like opening a Port wine bottle using fire, the traditional Port wine tongs and other surprises.

After the first visit, the day proceeds with the drive to the heart of the Douro Valley through the mystical N222 road, one of the most beautiful roads Portugal has to offer that serpents along the Douro river with an incredible setting of dramatically steep hills full of grape vines, olive trees and ancestral history, a traditional lunch awaits you with fish, meat, vegetarian and vegan options being available, all other special dietary preferences will be catered for upon request, lunch will be served with DOC Douro wines.

In Pinhão, embark on a chill boat ride along the Douro River, enjoying the stunning landscapes with plentiful photo opportunities.

The afternoon, after the cruise, will bring a drive up the beautiful Douro hills, enjoy the dramatic landscapes, stopping for pictures on the way to the second winery where you will be able to visit the 5th generation of a family with a deep link with the Douro Valley, enjoy some exclusive DOC wines with pairings and visit their Port Wine production and aging facilities where you will be able to taste very special aged port wines with a twist at the end!
