Reviews: Western Australia Margaret River + Busselton Jetty one-day tour[Chinese/English optional including pick-up]

During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, I joined an English-language day tour of the Margaret River and Busselton Pier, and the overall experience was extremely satisfying – a five-star review! Although the itinerary involved an early start and late finish – leaving the city around 7 am and returning after 9 pm – it was a very fulfilling day, well worth the price. We visited several places in one day, including Busselton Pier, the lighthouse, and the caves. The itinerary was well-organized yet efficient, with ample time for photos and exploration at each site. The guide and driver were professional and friendly, providing clear explanations and creating a relaxed atmosphere throughout the trip. Lunch was a pleasant surprise – very generous, with several set menus to choose from: beef burgers, chicken burgers, and pizza. I ended up ordering the Margaret pizza, which was enormous – far too much for one person – and tasted delicious. Overall, it was a rich, well-serviced, and excellent value day tour. Although we didn't get back to the city until after 9 pm, I didn't regret it at all; in fact, I felt the day was incredibly worthwhile.

Rottnest Island was on the list of things to do when my mum and I recently went to Perth for a week-long holiday. We went there for a day trip and I booked two roundtrip ferry tickets which departed from Perth and took us to Rottnest Island via Fremantle. The journey down the Swan River included guided commentary up to Fremantle, after which we travelled over the sea towards Rottnest Island. We then explored the island for the rest of the morning and most of the afternoon. We explored the island on foot and enjoyed two free walking tours run by experienced guides. I especially enjoyed our walk to Pinky Beach where we had a swim in the crystal blue waters. Around lunchtime we spotted quokkas running around trying to get a feed from tourists in the main food and shopping precinct. I didn't mind as I was able to take many pictures of these cute critters. We then enjoyed a bit of shopping before we took our afternoon ferry back to the mainland, which was a choppy ride but fun nonetheless. I'd highly recommend the Perth to Rottnest Island round trip ferry tickets for travellers who want to enjoy a day trip to Rottnest Island while being flexible about how they get around the island.

What a great trip! Besides the Stone Wave, we stopped at the zoo, Mulka Cave, Hippopotamus's Mouth, a dog cemetery, the town of York, and saw the rabbit-proof fence that runs across Australia. We had a rustic lunch—rice, chicken in gravy, and salads. Overall, it's worth the trip; we loved everything.

Lovely walk and interesting self guided tour. Saw some lovely sights and really enjoyed the walk around the cave area. Tour only took around 20-30 mins for me on my own and listening to all audios but could make it longer if needed

Reviews: Margaret River and Busselton Jetty: Day Trip from Perth
Guest User2026-11-01
The driver was an elderly gentleman who shared stories, culture, and lifestyles of each place along the way, giving us a deeper understanding of Western Australia—more interesting than the scenery or amusement parks. Many of the other passengers were also very considerate of us younger folks, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The unlimited tasting of various wines, white wines, and craft beers at lunchtime was fantastic. The vehicle was also well-equipped with excellent shock absorption, making the journey comfortable even after a long day.
