The Curchi Monastery, is one of the most significant monuments of Moldavian architecture. It is located in the region of Orhei, 55 km from Chisinau, the capital; on the right side of the Vatici Valley, at the foot of the forest called "Codru".
This monastic complex has a cultural and religious history of two and a half centuries and is considered the most beautiful and the most famous place of worship in Bessarabia.
The location of Curchi Monastery is of rare splendor thanks to the nature that surrounds it. It bathes in a green sea and plunges into a fabulous contrast with its white and red walls.
