The exchange process at the dock counter was so-so; because there weren't many people exchanging money, the counter staff weren't very familiar with the process. Actually, you can just pay directly at the restaurant, which is more convenient than buying vouchers. Overall, it's a pretty good beef restaurant. When it's crowded, you might have to wait or make a reservation. When we went, it was full as soon as we sat down. The best dish was definitely the freshly sliced, still-warm beef. It was incredibly tender, with no gamey taste, cooked quickly, and very smooth when cooked in the broth. It was also delicious dipped in a ginger and vinegar sauce. The other dishes weren't as outstanding as the still-warm beef, but they were still good accompaniments. The taro and beef balls were delicious, and the cabbage was sweet and refreshing; choosing your own combinations was a good idea.

This night cruise on Xiamen was fantastic! The cruise ship itself was a highlight, featuring excellent performances and a very generous buffet. Overall, it was definitely worth the trip.

I felt itchy after lying down in the lounge. It seemed like no one regularly changed the towels on the massage chairs, and someone was smoking indoors, which the staff didn't stop. My masseuse was nice and her technique was okay. They have a sauna and spa, which are both good. This place feels quite upscale and spacious.

Gulangyu is a must visit when going to Xiamen. Brown, our guide, was fantastic with a lot of knowledge of Xiamen and China. One downside of the tour is that due to the holiday we could not start at the originally scheduled time because ferry tickets were sold out. We were able to complete the majority or the tour given the shorter duration. My advice is to spend more time on the island getting lost in the old town, looking at the incredible architecture as the buildings and history is impressive and interesting.

I initially went to other branches before finally arriving at this original location. The advantage was that it was less crowded and relatively quiet. The staff were all very nice and attentive. The food was good, although the selection wasn't huge, but I did get to try afternoon tea and dinner. The massage was also excellent. I would definitely come again.

The car was a bit old, but the driver was very kind and made excellent arrangements. It was perfect for elderly people as it saved them from walking too much. Although the attractions weren't particularly special, that's just how Xiamen is!
