Things to do in Yichun

This forest park truly is a national forest park. It's located within the city, yet it offers a wealth of greenery and beautiful scenery. Many people get up early to collect some spring water. I, however, just strolled around at the bottom because it was so cold I really didn't want to go up.

Yichun Woodcarving Park... is located in Hebei Province... the environment and air quality are excellent... perfect for a leisurely stroll... you can also see many wooden figure carvings. It's really quite nice.

Jiayin Riverside Greenway The entrance to the Riverside Greenway (Lesser Khingan Mountains Forest Trail) is located on the easternmost side of Jiayin Riverside Park. The Riverside Greenway stretches approximately 20 kilometers from Taiping Island in the northwest to the East Lake Scenic Area in the southeast. The route is divided into four sections, each featuring scenic vistas: the Grand River Scenic Area, the Town Park Section, the River Beach and Bay Section, and the Natural Pastoral Section. In 2025, the Jiayin County government renovated the greenway near Riverside Park, resurfacing 1.68 kilometers of pavement, installing over 200 meters of fluorescent trails, and constructing China's first interactive dinosaur-themed running wall. The fluorescent trail is designed with a variety of dinosaur element patterns, which can emit soft fluorescence at night; the dinosaur running wall is actually a large LED screen, which combines the characteristics of Jiayin and shows the scenes of dinosaurs greeting and running; the greenway is also designed with an interactive projection function, so children can interact with the projected images and play games such as playing football and elimination games on the ground. It has become a new place for children to run and play in the evening, adding a beautiful landscape to Jiayin County, the hometown of dinosaurs.

The guide is free to use. The place is small but there is a giant fish specimen.

The Yichun City Museum is located on Xinfeng Street in Yichun City. The collection is centered on the duck-billed dinosaur fossil unearthed from Longgu Mountain in Jiayin City, and the cultural relics unearthed in Yichun City over the years. It is divided into five exhibition areas in chronological order: prehistoric display area, primitive society area, Liao, Jin and Yuan exhibition area, Ming and Qing exhibition area, and Anti-Japanese United Army area, showing the profound historical development trajectory of Yichun in a time context.

There are several parks in Yichun City. This is my first time to visit Beishan Park. There is a huge square with a row of Roman statues. Walking inside is a red pine forest and a monument. The air is very good. It is a good place for morning exercise and after-dinner stroll.

A fantastic rafting trip! The scenery was beautiful, the raft was incredibly stable, and both the elderly and children had a great time. An hour of rafting was more than enough! We even encountered a large rock that looked like a hippopotamus amidst the mountains and water, which was very charming. Cormorants and ducklings were nearby – a truly delightful sight! This rafting trip was the biggest surprise of our Yichun trip!

The Lesser Khingan Range Botanical Garden is the largest botanical garden in Northeast China. It has beautiful scenery and rolling hills. The garden has extensively collected valuable plants from Lesser Khingan Range and at home and abroad, fully displaying the rich plant resources of Lesser Khingan Range and becoming a microcosm of the plant community of Lesser Khingan Range.

There is a fairly large local park, which is divided into different areas, including a mountaineering area, an energy experience area, a water recreation area, etc. There are also bicycles inside. If you are interested, you can borrow a bicycle to play around.
