Vienna: Welcome Card – Public Transport Ticket & Discounts on Top Attractions

Experience Vienna like a local – with the Vienna WelcomeCard

With the Vienna Welcome Card, you can discover Vienna in a relaxed, flexible and digital way. Enjoy unlimited travel on buses, BIM trams, and the U-Bahn (subway) (for 24 hours, 48 hours, or 7 days) and get exclusive discounts at over 80 attractions – from major highlights to true Viennese insider tips.
The 72-hour card will be available until December 31, 2025, and will be replaced by the 72-hour FLEX card from January 1, 2026.

Make your stay even more authentic with “Vienna by Locals”: In our digital magazine, you'll find personal recommendations from Viennese – from hidden cafés and charming neighborhoods to favorite spots off the beaten track.

You can book many offers directly through the app – easily, quickly, and often with Fast Entry for direct access.

How it works:
After booking, you will receive an 8-digit code. Download the Vienna Welcome Card app to your smartphone and enter the code exactly – pay attention to capitalization and spaces. You will need an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data) while entering the code and saving your card on your device. Without an internet connection, an error message will appear, and the card cannot be added.

In Vienna, click on “Activate now” in the app, enter your name (important for the public transport ticket) and your year of birth, and your adventure can begin. From that moment on, your pass will be valid for the duration of your selected time period.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Activating the 72-hour FLEX Card
For 72 hours, you can visit up to 80 attractions and use 2 flexible 24-hour public transport tickets during this period.
The first ticket period starts automatically when you activate the 72-hour FLEX pass.
You can freely choose and activate the second ticket within the 72-hour time window.
EXACTLY AS YOU NEED IT!

The expired 24-hour ticket will be hidden as soon as it is no longer valid. Once you activate the second 24-hour pass, it will be visible in the app.
The time window for activating both tickets is 72 hours from the first activation.

Everything digital. Everything simple.
No paperwork, no hassle. With just a few clicks, you can plan your Vienna experience in the app and discover the city in a way that is as unique as you are.
