Our family of four used this tour, and it was great to be able to comfortably visit Songzanlin Monastery, Napa Lake, and Dukezhong Ancient City all in one day. The scenery of the vast wetlands and grasslands at Napa Lake was particularly impressive, and since it was a private vehicle, we were able to look around at our desired spots at a relatively leisurely pace. Since the tourist attractions in Shangri-La are spread out, I recommend using a private vehicle tour like this for a family trip.

Mr. Yang was approachable, drove very steadily, and planned a reasonable route, from Songzanlin Monastery to Napa Lake loop, Dajingchuan, and Pudacuo National Park, making for a very rewarding day trip.

I didn't see the sunrise over Meili Snow Mountain on October 10th! But seeing Meili Snow Mountain for the first time was still breathtaking, I'll definitely come again! The driver, Tashi Langji (license plate 6229), drove steadily, and I didn't get carsick on the mountain roads. He later took us to Napa Lake. The overall time management was excellent, my companions didn't run late, the trip went smoothly, and the comfort level was probably higher than taking a bus. Highly recommended!

The weather is unpredictable as the mountains have their own microclimate so it always a bit of a gamble, yet it’s worth to go to see the beauty of the nature. The tour is packed with stops in different locations so you’ll see a variety of natural wonders. The driver is a professional who brought us back safely. However, the road is not for the weak, all twists and turns can make you sick so be prepared. On the way there are a lot of shops, restrooms etc so don’t worry if you forgot something. Oxygen and warm jacket are provided. Thank you for the tour.

Abu was still leading the tour. In one day, we visited Manting Park, the General Buddhist Temple, the Great Buddha Temple, and the Primitive Forest Park. During the tour, Abu not only introduced the relevant attractions but also provided us with basic information about the various tropical plants we saw along the way, greatly enriching my knowledge base for this trip to Xishuangbanna. He was very considerate of the elderly, helping them avoid getting lost. This trip to Xishuangbanna went smoothly, and Abu deserves half the credit. Hopefully, we'll have the chance to meet again someday.

Manage your expectations before booking this tour. I checked the weather forecast and knew the chances of seeing stars, the mountains and golden sunrise at Meili were slim to none. I decided to chance it and went anyway. True enough, we encountered cloud cover that hid the stars and mountains, and golden sunrise. The late morning was much better. We saw some really nice scenery. My 3am pickup is at Dukezong North Gate, but they can also pickup from the East Gate. Do be aware of the cancellation policy before booking this tour in case the weather suddenly turns bad. Sufficient toilet breaks and rest time are factored into the tour. I don't know why but the tour ended earlier than stated.
