The tour includes a stop off at a viewing point for the Golden Gate Bridge. You then visit 2 wineries before the lunch stop in Sonoma. There is a further winery visit after lunch.
Each of the wineries had a different vibe, all were small scale operations and all were passionate about their product. Plenty of wine was poured - particularly at the second winery!
Sonoma was well worth a visit. We were recommended a really good Mexican restaurant for lunch, I would recommend leaving yourselves enough time for a wander around the square though, it has a real old town ‘Back to the Future’ vibe.
A good trip to see the scenery further afield from San Francisco. ★

A really great day out - the tour with an electric bike was so worth it - seeing a lot more and hearing some great facts and history on route
BIll was the perfect Guide and host and I’d certainly do this again
Can’t recommend it highly enough a MUST DO trip

I took the tour with my wife and two daughters in their early 20’s. Let me say this first, the location to be picked up to start the tour was not clear at all. That created a bit of confusion. Now, the good stuff. In the end, we all loved it. The trees were mesmerizing and breathtaking. Luckily, the day was sunny. We had got rained on the previous five days. At the site, Muir Woods, we went all the way to bridge 4. The path is built with wooden planks so you do not walk on mud the whole time (it had rained). That was different as I expected to walk on dirt. As a matter of fact, I appreciated that because this way there is not much human interaction with the environment as to depredate it by making paths as people choose, by peeling off bark or writing on the trees, etc. On the way back, we took the trail with no wooden planks, only dirt/mud.We wish we had had at least 30 more minutes to enjoy the place a little more. Walking from the parking lot, checking in and walking to bridge 4 and back to the parking lot took up all the time we had. Thirty more minutes would have added time to breathe and take it all in, and perhaps stop by the mementos store. Driver was friendly and drove safely, and served as a tour guide, as well. As a highlight he made a stop on the other side of the Golden Gate bridge from where we could see the sunset and say good bye to the city as that was our last day in San Francisco. Remember to appreciate the place through your eyes and senses and not only through the lenses of a camera. It is so easy to miss the moment. Hope this helps. And…remember to tip the driver/tour guide, even if it is not 20%. Cheers!★

Reviews: San Francisco: Alcatraz Island & 48-Hour Hop-On Hop-Off Tour

Alcatraz is a must-see and very interesting. The package also included the aquarium, which was a particular highlight. The evening tour on the blue line was also cool. One day is actually enough for the main route (red). The great thing is that you don't have to see everything within 48 hours. It's no problem to go to Alcatraz on the first day, then to the aquarium and take the evening tour, and only start the hop-on/hop-off tour the next day. Just download the Big Bus app. A very well-rounded package for people who are in San Francisco for the first time and don't have too much time. 👍
