Details: Since 2018, this is Portugal's only pastel de nata baking class held inside a real bakery, led by a professional pastry chef. This masterclass is hosted by a professional pastry chef trained by Chef João Batalha, Nat'elier's head pastry chef and co-founder. After getting ready, you'll step into our professional kitchen to learn how to make the famous Portuguese custard tart from scratch. The workshop begins with a short introduction to the history of pastel de nata. This is a hands-on experience. Unlike other classes in Lisbon, you will make puff pastry from scratch, prepare the custard, and bake everything in a professional oven. Each participant will make at least 3 pastéis de nata by hand, learning how to laminate the dough, shape it using a traditional technique, and fill each pastry with custard. At the end of the class, you'll enjoy your warm pastéis de nata with a drink of your choice. Adults and children aged 8+ are welcome. No previous experience is required.
