Beautiful scenery
Reviews: From Alice Springs: Day Trip to Uluru with BBQ Dinner
Guest User2026-04-07
It was a thoroughly enjoyable day. The drive from Alice Springs to Uluru is quite long, but with a few toilet and photo stops, it's absolutely manageable. The hikes right at Uluru were a real highlight, as was the visit to the Cultural Centre. The delicious BBQ in the evening and the stunning sunset were also exceptional.
Reviews: Uluru (Ayers Rock) Base and Sunset Half-Day Trip with Opt Outback BBQ Dinner

I took the sunset tour in the afternoon. There were a lot of Japanese people there, which was a relief, but unfortunately it was an English tour, so I couldn't understand a word they were saying. There were an incredible amount of flies, so I recommend bringing a fly net at the very least.
Reviews: Uluru: Sunset, Sparkling Wine, Cheeseboard & Gourmet BBQ

Very much enjoyed this excursion, plenty of food and drink during the sunset portion (it’s worth walking up to the very end of the viewing area for the best views away from the crowds) BBQ was good - very civilised sitting around large round tables, however the highlight was the star talk at the end under totally dark skies.
Reviews: Kata Tjuta: Small Group Sunrise Tour with Picnic Breakfast
Guest User2026-03-22
Would absolutely recommend doing this tour, was excellent from start to finish Small group of 11, all timings on point, excellent transport and great breakfast all laid out for us. Peter our guide was really good, explained everything well and explained the days schedule and timings as we went along. We saw the sunrise, had breakfast and walked along Walpa Gorge, lots of amazing photo opportunities and great memories of a wonderful place.
