The tour to three Brunello di Montalcino wineries was wonderful. We could learn about history of the region and its winemaking on the way, and see the wine-making process for ourselves. The lunch was extravagant. One thing to note is that while you can buy wine direct from the wineries if you like them, you may also find bargains for the same label in supermarket in Siena.
