Visiting the DMZ has long been on my bucket list, as understanding how a nation's history is shaped and remembered is profoundly important. Despite the uncooperative, foggy weather at the Dora Observatory, our guide, Yoon from Seoul City Tours, was exceptional. Knowledgeable, energetic, and clearly passionate about her work, she greatly enhanced the experience. For me, the most significant moment was exploring the Third Tunnel. The quite strenuous hike back up after the descent made the reality visceral; a tangible reminder that a genuine threat persists. Yet, within that sobering truth, the hope for a future reunification of this divided land remains powerfully
