Reviews: Atlas Mountain Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Ride From Marrakech

Amazing experience!! We went on the sunrise trip, it starts really early (they picked us up at 5am) but is totally worth it! The fly was amazing, just wished it was longer. Our captain was great, we had a smooth landing. The breakfast after the flight could have a little more option, like some butter and maybe a jam or something to pair with the breads and “crepes” (they had olive oil and honey only).

It was the most incredible experience. They picked us up from the hotel in a timely manner. Took us on an unexpected camel ride which we all enjoyed. Then we had snacks at a women’s argan oil factory and they explained their products. Lunch was excellent with tasteful dishes and very plentiful. We ended it with a hike in the mountains where we saw a waterfall and had fresh orange juice.

This was such a beautiful experience and I’m so glad my husband and I opted to do this after we booked with Hamid and Hussain for the Essaouira trip. This time we were guided by Hussain. The journey started with a stop at the weekly markets (they open on a tuesday or saturday so try to go on these days!!) and we tried some delicious fruits. We then got to Imlil valley where we started our hike. We took frequent breaks where Hussein told us stories of the mountains, its people and his childhood growing up. We then had the honour of being invited to his family home and having a home cooked meal from his mum!!! This experience felt so wholesome and intimate. We also had fun with the group we went to. A must do experience if you visit Marrakesh

Reviews: Private Valley and Atlas Mountains Tour in Marrakech

This was a five star experience to the Atlas Mountains with our guide Elhoussain and driver Mustafa. We chose the private tour option and could therefore go at our own pace. We were taken to the women's cooperative where argan oil products are made and sold. We travelled through the beautiful scenery, stopping at view points to take photos. We made our way towards the highest berber village and walked the last 30 minutes to reach Elhoussain's family home where we were greeted by his mother, nephew and sister. His mother had prepared a delicious traditional tagine lunch which we ate in their dining room. Following this we were guided out of the other side of the village and walked to a small waterfall before being driven back to marrakech. This is an authentic and personal experience which gave insight into Berber traditions in addition to seeing the beautiful scenery.
