Reviews: Adelaide: River Torrens Popeye Sightseeing Cruise
Guest User2026-01-15
A serene and relaxing cruise along the man-made lake on the River Torrens. The captain shared engaging historical insights about the dam, the lake, and the surrounding architecture, which made the cruise both informative and enjoyable. The young skipper was incredibly caring and attentive in helping me safely down the stairs and into the boat due to my back injury. After the cruise, when my phone unexpectedly died, the captain kindly allowed me to charge it on board so I could organise an Uber, even though he had already finished his shift. Their kindness and consideration were genuinely appreciated. One small area for improvement would be the seating. The individual cushions on the hard wooden benches tend to slip and need frequent readjusting. Longer, fully padded bench cushions would make the seating much more comfortable. Overall, it was a peaceful and relaxing experience, and I’d highly recommend this cruise as a gentle, enjoyable part of your day in Adelaide.

Excellent trip. The tour bus driver Bruce was very knowledgeable about not just all things wine but local info. All the wineries we visited were great, the hosts' passion for the wine industry certainly shined. It was great to have had the wine tastings and lunch included which took out the guess work. Loved the charcuterie board for lunch, perfect size to soak up all that wine. Highly recommend this all in one tour package.
