Reviews: Sydney whale watching cruise OE/Phuket Fantasea/GWW • multiple cruises/speedboating/optional time slots
Guest User2026-10-09
We had an absolute blast on the 1.5-hour Sydney Whale Whisperer cruise! Departing right from King Street Wharf 6 at Darling Harbour was super convenient and seamless to find. Andrew was wonderfully friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable; Having such a great conversation with him made the entire trip feel personal and relaxed. The boat was comfortable, the views of the harbor were breathtaking, and seeing the whales in action was an unforgettable moment. If you're looking for a smooth, well-organized, and memorable whale-watching experience in Sydney, this is definitely the one to book!★

There were only Chinese and Koreans, and most of them seemed to be on tours. The food was decent and tasty, and it's really pretty once you go up, so make sure to take lots of photos!!★

Reviews: Whale whisperer Sydney 1.5 hr whale watching cruise half day tour
Guest User2026-08-09
I was on the 1:30pm trip and I’m so glad I chose Whale Whisperer. You can really feel the captain and crew’s passion and genuine love for marine life. We were lucky enough to see whales breaching, but what I loved most was how the whole experience made me appreciate the beauty of the ocean. Truly unforgettable! 🐋★

Reviews: Whale Tales Sydney whale watching cruise for 2.5 hr (departing from Darling Harbour)
Guest User2026-10-06
There were whales. They didn't jump, but the experience was immense, with their tails and, of course, their backs poking out of the water several times. But the ships, even this company had three at once, didn't approach close, which is advertised in the description as a bonus for a small boat. The much larger ship was even closer... The crew was all female and did a great job. As a bonus, dolphins appeared, and the local seals even showed their fins above the water. Plus, of course, the view from the sea of the opera house, bridge, and skyscrapers.★

An incredible experience to do early in the morning in August; after that, you also need a bit of luck.
