Reviews: Beijing to Jinshanling Great Wall 1-day tour & Depart at 9 AM · Optional private tour · Includes admission ticket

Christina was our tour guide. She is cheerful and easygoing. We made a last minute to change to add Simatai Great Wall into our trip and she arranged it smoothly. What we like is the smooth team work she has with her co partners, Mr An and the driver. She is so hardworking that she multitasks to coordinate the next day's trip while taking care of us. Good trip, good longer hike which we like. Definitely recommend for Great Wall trip. Jinshanling, is really manageable and you will feel good after the hike with the kind and helpful aunties who are friendly, helpful and nice along the way. Do give them a tip or buy something from them as it is hard work for them, hiking up with the souvenirs in their backpacks hoping to sell some to tourists. The little purchase or tip from us may not mean much to us as spending tourists but it sure mean something to them as local ex-farmers who have less land to farm now.
Reviews: Private Jinshanling Great Wall Trip With English-speaking Driver
Guest User2025-11-11
Overall, it was a very satisfying tour. I had heard via email that there was an experienced driver available who didn't speak English, so I decided to go with him. Our driver, Shangzen Ruishui, communicated with us using the translation function and had no problems. He was a very sincere person, and although we fell asleep soon after boarding, he turned off the music to provide a quiet space. The drive was smooth and we were able to enjoy a comfortable trip without getting carsick. Jinshanling Great Wall was a great location for taking spectacular photos with few tourists, and I was amazed by the endless stretches of the Great Wall. I believe this was all thanks to our driver's skillful driving, which allowed us to get to the Great Wall safely.
Reviews: Beijing: Jinshanling Great Wall Daily Bus Tour with Options [Join-in Group and Small Group] Departing at 7:30AM

We found this tour great! The bus starts early morning and takes about 2,5 hours to get to Jinshanling. A short shuttle bus service from the ticket gate to a souvenir selling area was included, however not all the way up to the wall, which some other tourists outside our tour took. The hike is quite hard, the wall goes up and down steeply and many times. We had a great guide, who took good care of all our group members and explained clearly the timeline and itinerary of the day. Our group reached the east gate to catch our bus back to Beijing at around 14:30. The way back to Beijing takes a bit longer due to evening traffic. We reached Beijing a bit before 6pm, which was great considering other tours might arrive late at night.
