**Day 1: Dublin - Connemara - Galway**We set out from Dublin to the west of Ireland.<img src="https://ak-d.tripcdn.com/images/0350p12000ellutjh0C39_Z_1000_0.jpg" source="ttd" imageid="40777724" sourcewidth="1080" sourcehight="607">Visit beautiful Connemara. On our way through the middle of Ireland, we'll stop in the charming village of Cong (until April 1st) to rest and resupply. Made famous by the film The Quiet Man and actors John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara, Cong, home to Ashford Castle, is a haunt of the rich and famous and the wedding venue for many international stars. We'll have time to visit Cong Abbey before continuing through the natural beauty of Connemara. This predominantly Irish-speaking area retains many of its traditional ways, but was abandoned during the famine of 1845-1851. From April 1st, we'll visit the historic Glengowla silver mines and experience an amazing underground show mine. Above ground, you can watch sheepdog shows and demonstrations of traditional farming methods, including peat cutting (admission ticket included). We'll arrive in Galway in the afternoon to fully experience this cultural city. We will have time to explore the Spanish Arch and the vibrant Shop Street, home to many street performers, seafood restaurants and charming Irish pubs. It will be a great evening in the capital of traditional Irish music. **Day 2: Galway - Burren - Doolin - Cliffs of Moher - Annascaul**Today we will travel along the west coast with the magnificent Atlantic Ocean at our side. You will see beautiful beaches, golden sands and perhaps see some dolphins and whales. We will explore its unique lunar-like landscape in the Burren, a place on Earth where Alpine, Arctic and Mediterranean flowers coexist. Your guide will tell how our ancestors overcame the horrors of the Great Potato Famine of 1845-1849, which caused more than a million of our ancestors to migrate around the world, especially to Britain, North America and Australia. We will stop in the village of Doolin for lunch and perhaps a drink before continuing to the nearby Cliffs of Moher. At 700 feet high, these cliffs are probably the most spectacular in Europe and are home to some of nature's most magnificent birds, including puffins and gannets. Afterwards, we will cross the River Shannon in Limerick. The final stop today is the beautiful traditional town of Adare, famous for its fine thatched cottages and often voted as the tidiest town in Ireland. We will stay overnight in the village of Annascaul on the rural Dingle Peninsula, home of renowned polar explorer Tom Crean and home to the world famous Randy Leprechaun pub. **Day 3: Dingle - Killarney**Today we will head to the world famous Dingle Peninsula. First visit Inch, Ireland's longest beach, before driving to Dingle, a charming Gaeltacht fishing village. Made famous by several films such as Far and Neon and Ryan's Daughter, Dingle is known for being the town with the most pubs in Ireland, with 52 in total and 2,000 residents. We can't forget Dingle's most famous resident, Fungi the Dolphin, who we will have time to visit in the afternoon. This is followed by a wonderful drive around Slea Head, taking in the Sleeping Giant Island, the Blasket Islands and beehive huts dating back to 2000 BC. Hailed by many photography magazines as the most beautiful peninsula in the world, Slea Head has some of Ireland's most beautiful beaches and is certainly a highlight of Ireland's famous Wild Atlantic Way. The Irish language is entirely spoken in this area and you may even hear the locals conversing in this ancient language. We then return to Dingle, with plenty of time for shopping in the traditional arts and craft shops, as well as some light refreshments in one of the many colorful pubs, listening to the charming tunes of local musicians. Tonight we will spend the night in Killarney, the premier town in Co. Kerry. Here we will mingle with the locals and enjoy the character of a true Irish county town, away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. After dinner you can relax with a walk in the nearby national park. **Day 4: Killarney - Dublin**The day begins with a horse-drawn carriage tour (optional) or horseback riding through the park (optional for the energetic and adventurous). Afterwards, we’ll regroup and travel through the Cork and Kerry mountains to the world-famous Blarney Castle. You’ll have plenty of time (2 hours) to tour the castle, with the option to kiss the Blarney Stone (for eloquence, also known as the gift of speech). The beautiful gardens offer a chance to relax in the fresh air, while those looking for a last-minute souvenir can explore the excellent Blarney Woolen Mills, the largest Irish shop in the world. After lunch, we’ll take a leisurely drive through the Golden Vale region, some of Ireland’s finest agricultural land and home to some of the finest livestock in the world. Before arriving in Dublin, we’ll stop at the Rock of Dunamase – an abandoned castle perched high on a hill overlooking the province of Leinster – where you’ll be treated to stunning photo opportunities and views. We will arrive in Dublin in the early evening, in time for dinner and evening activity.
