A friend recommended this half-day tour. We met at the Immigration Museum after lunch, which was a big plus since we didn't have to get up early. It was a small group of about a dozen people, and the driver/guide was quite chatty.
On Phillip Island, we first went to the Nobbies viewpoint. The seals were sprawled out on the rocks, which was quite interesting to see from a distance. The highlight was the penguin parade at night—after dark, groups of little penguins emerged from the sea and waddled back to their nests. We were very close, right next to the boardwalk, and could clearly see their little expressions. Photography and videography were prohibited throughout, and staff kept a close eye on them, which was actually a good thing, since cameras would just produce a black image anyway. Focusing on the view made it more immersive.
The wind was strong at the beach that night, and I regretted not bringing a down jacket. We didn't get back to the city until almost midnight. Tired, but it was worth it.
Overall, I was very satisfied. Just remember to dress warmly!★

A super satisfying trip! The weather was fantastic too; the driver said it was the best weather in recent days—lucky us! I finally got to ride the steam train I'd been dreaming of and saw the world's smallest blue penguin, only about 33cm tall 🐧—so cute and adorable! The driver's route and sightseeing time were well-planned. Besides ensuring our safety, he also acted as our guide, explaining the background and history of each stop. A perfect experience 💯—absolutely fantastic!★

Thank you Jack for the great service, the recommendation on the timing to enter Philip Island platform and to sit at the left side for the Puffing Billy trip from Lakeside to Belgrave and for reaching Noble Viewpoint on time to capture the sunset view.★

The miniature train and winery tour was fantastic! The miniature train on a rainy day even had a Hogwarts feel! The train staff were handsome! The winery tasting was excellent! The Chinese-speaking driver was very patient, communication was easy, and he even recommended good places to eat and do things! Highly recommended!★
