Joni was a wonderful guide, absolutely brilliant, positive, and responsive. We loved the tour. We didn't lose anyone, which is key 😀 Lunch was included, and they even took our food allergies into account, which is crucial. We lived in a different area, so we had to get to the office ourselves. Shout out to our guide Jason Superstar from VN Lotus Travel who is indeed superstar! Itinerary planned well, always thinking ahead of needs. Cuchi tunnel and Mekong Delta holds rich history and current stories. The entire tour took exactly 12hrs covering more places than what is listed on Trip's description! I booked a VIP tour this time, and the itinerary was very packed, with five or six boat trips in total, making it a fairly in-depth tour.
The Mekong River didn't look very clear; the water was quite yellow and covered with water hyacinths, but there was no unpleasant odor.
The island had many plants (various fruits) and animals (pythons, crocodiles, catfish, etc.), and the guide led the tour, providing very enthusiastic explanations. At the narrow section of the river where boats were manually rowed, the guide mentioned that a tip was expected for the rowers. Before the tour ended, the guide suggested that if we were satisfied with the trip, we could also tip him; I felt I had to give him something, otherwise I'd feel awkward.★

The guide was excellent. He was handsome, kind, and professional. And the entire itinerary was excellent. However, the West Hotel was the worst. The Wi-Fi kept disconnecting, the elevators were too slow, and the facilities were too old. If only they could change hotels, everything would be great.
