After travelling through the stunning countryside and villages of Wiltshire, we arrive for a short photo stop in the charming town of Salisbury. We walk through the Medieval St Ann's Gate and the cathedral close, seeing an impressive collection of historic buildings, and then take time to admire its impressive tower and spire - at 404 feet the tallest in the country - constructed in a short space of time from 1220 to 1258. We then enter the cloisters, built from 1261, and the largest in the country, to complete our walk.
StonehengeThe next stop on this magnificent tour is Stonehenge, where we'll spend around 90 minutes. You can visit this world famous monument from 4-5,000 years ago and still have enough time for the gift shop or a quick coffee. Your guide will explain to you the many theories and mysteries behind Stonehenge as you enter the visitor centre and Neolithic village.
WindsorAfter a 75-90 minute drive, we arrive in Windsor. Over 900 years of royal history are waiting for you at Windsor Castle, perched high above the River Thames. Home to British Monarchs for over 1,000 years, and the official residence of King Charles III, the Castle remains a working palace to this day. See for yourself the splendour of St. George's chapel and the sumptuous state apartments. Windsor itself is a pretty town full of traditional shops and historic pubs.
