This was such a good tour. We would definitely reccomend it. The minibus was comfortable, our driver Nick was so knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. We were really lucky with the weather, being February we didn't expect much, but we had a dry day, with some sunshine thrown in. The scenery was stunning.
There are frequent stops, some just photo opportunities, but plenty of comfort breaks too. Lunch in Oban was a longer break, plenty of time to eat and sightsee.

A great day trip with Rhys to the Kelpies, Loch Lomond, and Stirling Castle. Stopped for lunch around Loch Lomond and got to see Highland cows on the tour. Highly recommend for a relaxing day trip★

The tour was operated by Hairycow and was at the end of January. The organization was excellent. After I purchased the tour, trip.com contacted me to reschedule it because the tour with a stop at the distillery wasn't available that day. I was offered a tour on the day I selected but with a lake cruise, or other days from the list that included the distillery. I chose the boat ride and was not disappointed. The bus was comfortable, with restroom and snack stops along the way. The views were stunning; I personally didn't have enough stops for nature photography. But the views are so beautiful that I wanted to stop every 100 meters. Late January was a good time for the boat ride; the boat has two decks, open on top and large windows on the bottom, and is well heated. There's also a bar with alcohol (I recommend the lower deck and look for the windows with the Nessie sticker for photos). And even though the program didn't say there would be hairy cows, the company named after them certainly showed them to us. Thank you!★

Incredible time overall, despite the hailing, windy, rainy weather! 100/10 would recommend and do it again. We got to visit very charming villages in addition to castle visits / sightings along the route. Leo and Stephen were lively and awesome guides with tons of history to share throughout the day, making the experience that much more exciting. The views of the west highland, sprinkled with sheep, highland cows, and rams are unforgettable.★

I had an amazing experience on the Rabbie’s West Highlands tour. The absolute highlight was the stunning landscape and castles — it genuinely felt like stepping into a fantasy or medieval movie at times. Every stop was more beautiful than the last, especially with the dramatic winter scenery.
Our guide, Shae, was fantastic. She was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and engaging, and clearly passionate about both the history and the place. Despite the limited daylight in December, she went above and beyond to make sure we saw as much as possible, squeezing in extra viewpoints and stories without ever making the day feel rushed.
This tour was the perfect way to experience the Highlands in winter, and I’d highly recommend it — especially if you love dramatic landscapes, castles, and great storytelling.
