Reviews: Immersive experience: Song Dynasty tea ceremony and fan painting, including Lingyin Temple, West Lake cruise, and Leifeng Tower summit
Guest User2026-03-30
This trip was made possible by our tour guide, who provided clear and concise explanations, highlighting the historical significance of each attraction and sharing local anecdotes, making the trip more than just a sightseeing experience. The guide was attentive to the needs of the tourists, offering thoughtful reminders and meticulous care for the elderly and children, demonstrating exceptional responsibility. It was a truly enjoyable travel experience.
Reviews: Half-day tour of Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou (guided tour, small group of 2-10 people), optional tea room for copying scriptures and tea tasting.
Guest User2026-03-17
This option is suitable for those with limited time. The tour guide service was excellent. Due to traffic restrictions on the way to Lingyin Temple, we were delayed, but the guide waited for us. The overall explanation was quite detailed, and the guide also explained how to worship. This itinerary didn't have much planning; it basically just took us into the largest hall, and then we worshipped and descended the mountain on our own.
Reviews: Zhejiang Provincial Museum + Half-Day Guided Tour (Group of 2-18 People) Optional Morning Session or Afternoon Session
Guest User2026-02-28
The tour guide's explanations were detailed and vivid. The 10 most treasured artifacts in the Zhejiang Provincial Museum were breathtaking. The accompanying headset provided a clear and immersive experience throughout, making for a great overall experience. Without a tour, a museum visit would be rushed. Listening carefully to the guide's detailed narration felt like stepping back in time to appreciate the weight of history and the significance of the national treasures. Definitely a 5-star review!
Reviews: Hangzhou West Lake Longjing Village Tea Farmer Experience Half-Day Tour [Optional Private Transfer + Song Dynasty Tea Whisking + Tea Roasting & Tasting]
Guest User2026-04-09
Taking advantage of the spring break, I brought the kids to Longjing Village for an in-depth experience. It was a truly meaningful nature lesson! 🌿 Tea Picking: The children, wearing small baskets, roamed among the tea bushes, truly understanding the meaning of "every grain is hard-earned." Tea Frying: Under the teacher's guidance, the children felt the heat of the iron wok, and the aroma of tea lingered on their hands. Tea Tasting and Preparation: The tea preparation session was the highlight! The children skillfully whisked the tea, creating beautiful foam. Special praise goes to the lovely teacher in charge of preparation! She was incredibly gentle and patient. Even with a restless 6-year-old, she gently guided them, teaching them how to whisk the tea. Encouraged by her, the children even managed to create beautiful foam, feeling an immense sense of accomplishment! The teachers were very patient with the children, explaining things in a clear and easy-to-understand way. The environment was elegant and away from the crowds of tourist attractions. Compared to a rushed visit, this immersive intangible cultural heritage experience is far more valuable, and I highly recommend it to families with children! 👍
Reviews: [Departing from Shanghai] One-Day Tour to West Lake and Lingyin Temple (Exploring the Ink-Wash Jiangnan)
Guest User2026-03-26
We managed to see West Lake, take a boat ride, have lunch, drive past tea plantations, and then stop at a monastery, which was very impressive in its sheer size. The guide spoke only Chinese, despite having WeChat enabled with built-in Russian/English translation. He was poorly connected, failing to explain much about the meeting time, location, and availability. You need to book free tickets to the last temple in advance on WeChat by searching "杭州灵隐飞来峰" and completing all the booking steps. As stated, weekend tickets sell out quickly. Passports are checked at the entrance. Lunch was included (no extra charge), but the setting around the lunch spot doesn't really resemble the tea plantations: there were lots of noisy tour groups and dirty restrooms. We wouldn't have been able to see so much in one day on our own. We used this option as a transfer. Keep in mind the travel time: Shanghai-Hangzhou (3 hours), from the lunch spot to the monastery (1 hour), Hangzhou-Shanghai (5 hours). We were there on Sunday.
