Buddhist altar implements and other items are on display on the first to third floors of the building.
The highlight is the fourth floor. Step inside and you'll find yourself in a fantastical world that makes you feel like you're in space.

Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, built by King U-Thong, the first king of the Ayutthaya dynasty
This temple was built in 1351 by King U-Thong, who founded the Ayutthaya Kingdom.
The striking chedi is 72 metres high and was built in 1592 to commemorate the victory of King Naresuan in single combat against a Burmese prince.
You can climb the pagoda and enjoy the view of the surrounding area. The Nirvana statue in the precincts and the Buddha statues in the corridors are also impressive, making this a symbolic temple of Ayutthaya.

If you come to Ayutthaya, you should definitely try this elephant ride (approximately 10 minutes)!

Wat Mahathat (Wat Phra Mahathat) with a Buddha head in the roots of a tree
You've probably seen Wat Mahathat in guidebooks and other places. It's a temple famous for its impressive wooden Buddha head.
The Buddha's head fell off the body in the mid-1600s and has since been reattached to the base, remaining horizontal, which is truly a miracle.

Wat Phra Si Sanphet, where three kings of the Ayutthaya dynasty rest
This is the most important temple within the Ayutthaya Royal Palace, with three Sri Lankan-style pagodas. It is the guardian temple where three famous Ayutthaya kings who left their mark on Thai history rest, and is like the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in the Bangkok dynasty. It was destroyed during the Burmese invasion in the 18th century, but was restored after the war, and now only the remains of the pagodas and pillars remain.
